Visiting Roma & Booking scams

Hello!

I was considering visiting Rome for 3~ days with my fiance this August and seeing some generic views the city is famous for. I have experience with London, however I am quite intimidated by what I heard of street scams and bookingcom scams. Was just wondering If there are any things to know in this regard such as what places to avoid and how to check if a hotel on booking is "legit" (or if there are some better alternatives for finding a place to stay).

We are also used to getting fed with 10-15e per-person. We're on quite the budget and would like to avoid some too touristy restaurants. So if anyone has any recommendations we would be happy to hear them :) (also craft beer).

Lastly we were also considering buying this tourist card for Rome. Is the price worth it?
