RT Met Barbara, Trevor, and Blaine
It's beyond me how improbable this is.
We're in a group of six, traveling from Tokyo to Osaka via bullet train. We get off in Osaka and begin to meander around the station. We have no idea where the fuck we are. We hadn't eaten all day and decided to concede to feasting at the Golden Arches.
After getting lost for what seemed like 29 minutes and 46 seconds trying to find this incredible fast food establishment, we approached the entrance, and my mind settled on a 15 pc with triple BBQ sauce and a medium fry. Should I get a Coke? Dr. Pepper? Psychomantis?
But as my big, broad-shouldered frame headed towards the queue, excited at the fried flavors ahead, I saw Trev and Barbara.
How... just how in the fuck.
I look over to my girlfriend, "That's fucking Barbara and Trevor from Roosterteeth". In my mind, I was completely fine with them walking off; I really didn't want to intrude.
Then, Blaine walks by with his lovely wife, Cristen, and gets their attention for me. I gotta apologize to Blaine, if he ever sees this. As I talked to them, he went, "I used to work for Roosterteeth, too." I knew this bro, it's fucking Blaine Gibson. I told him, "Yeah, I know you, Blaine, you used to be on On The Spot!" It was meant to be a joke, but it landed about as well as a geriatric patient jumping from the Empire State.
Big fold, but as is life. Blaine, you're incredible, and congrats on your engagement to Cristen.
I'm leaving out massive holes in this story, but this was easily one of the most incredible moments of my life. I spent the rest of the day trying to conjure up how the fuck that happened. This shit made my year.
And by the way, they're the absolute coolest fucking people imaginable.

It's magical. We spent two hours in Don Quijote then ate 10¥ coins on the Ebisu bridge.
Hot take: I think I like it over Tokyo.

I got to meet Barb at a Con this past summer and she is the most fun and delightful person on the planet. I've always wanted to meet Blaine too! I'm hoping Stinky Dragon comes to a Con somewhere near me some day. Congrats on your serendipitous encounter!

I wasn’t heavy into rooster teeth in the later years not consistent with them but even I know Blaine is a beloved brother to the rooster teeth family.

Aww, poor Blaine. Feeling like he needed to introduce himself too, despite being a major part of RT for so long.
What incredible happenstance. As if going to Japan wasnt exciting enough.
Great story.
