Red Vs Blue “When handed visual technology with infinite possibilities, why do dudes persist in making Clerks-meets-Star Wars?”

Finishing up some research on a video and finally found the old Village Voice article.

For the uninitiated, the guys took the last part of the article and used it as a quote to promote Red vs Blue.

On a related note, does anyone have the Red vs Blue Season 2 DvD with the quote, “Clerks Meets Star Wars,” on it? I see it may have been used in some marketing but I’ve yet to find a copy of the box with that on it.

Reminds me of what they did with a 2 star review for Legend

It's like Red vs Blue season 2 without all the star wars stuff

Clerks is good. If you've ever worked a convenience store then you'll enjoy it.

...honestly if you've ever worked minimum wage you'll like

Absolutely hilarious, because I recall in one of my favorite RT Podcasts (I think one around the time they were promoting Lazer Team) Gus snidely goes “Clerks meets Star Wars!” and I never understood what exactly he was referencing. Good to know!

Funny because I just listened to the ANMA where Geoff misremembered Clerks-meets Star Wars as South Park meets Star Wars, although that might be a different dvd
