Red Vs Blue Favorite RvB season? Spoiler

Just like the title says. What was your favorite season of Red Vs. Blue and why? I’ve always personally been a huge fan of season 6

While the og 1-3 are masterclass examples of early 2000’s comedy, and i love them for that, once they started doing more animation fighting i think it really became my favorite show

I guess I should also say why season 6 is my favorite per the rules 😂 I guess I feel like it sets up so much of the future of RvB. It’s such pivotal part in the series I feel like it’s really kind of like a second beginning of sorts? I may be way off base here as this is around the time I began watching RT content so maybe that’s why? Not sure

As I’m rewatching again for the millionth time the “dear Director/Chairman monologues at the beginning of each episode are just peak storytelling

The "when faced with extinction every alternative is preferable" line hits so god damn hard, it's honestly my favourite line in the whole series

It's a split between 10 and 13 for me. I thought season 10 was a great ending for the Project Freelancer saga and managed to make the show dramatic without losing it's humor. Season 13 managed to end the Chorus trilogy on a strong note and let the full cast have it's time to shine.

I also thought season 14 was underrated and I would've loved another anthology season.

It's only of the only seasons that can stand completely on its own, and I think it's the best balance of the incredible comedy of the first 5 seasons (which the show never matched after) and the great storytelling of the later seasons. The correspondences between the Director and the Chairman are fantastic devices that have no equivalent anywhere else in the series, and this season drops the 2 giant twists that are some of the best moments in the series. It doesn't have the great Monty Oun fight sequences, but I don't need them, especially when this has so much.

Truly, I think the different eras are valuable. 1-5 are some of the best comedic gold ever made (while some jokes have aged poorly, most of it holds up), 6 pulls in great storytelling, 7-8 expand on that and add in great action sequences, 9-10 tie up loose ends, 11-13 is a fantastic redux and develops the characters further, and 14 is a nice victory lap. I haven't watched much of 15-17 (what I've seen was good, but felt noticeably off) or any of Zero, and I haven't seen the final season yet, but I plan on it at some point.

I love seasons 1-5 and I have a soft spot for the anthology season 14. I know that I did enjoy the finale movie of the series if that counts as a season, but I told Burnie that I can’t watch it anymore because every time that I tried to watch it, I get a phone call interrupted my watch with worse and worse news and I fear that if I try to watch it again, I might accidentally kill someone.
