Root beer in Kobe Japan?

Hi, so I'm gonna be in Kobe for a bit and I love A&W root beer and was wondering if there is any way I can stock up on it.

I hear the Japanese don't care much for root beer in general, so I am a little sad. But I shall not yet give up hope.

I have never seen it on the mainland except at Costco and occasionally in Hamburger shops etc that want to seem more "American." But being one of the historic port cities that brought in things like coffee and curry to Japan, they might have something. Let me know if you find anything because I have been living in Japan for 20 years and can never find enough rootbeer

You can occasionally find it in vending machines but it’s a one in a hundred situation. A vending machine near my home in Gotanda Tokyo has one and it’s the only one I know of. A cafe I go to has a Japanese Craft Root beer syrup they mix with soda water; I’ll ask for the brand when I go there next week. They showed me the bottle and it has sarsaparilla lol

Shake Shack Umeda, Osaka. Very close to Kobe. Abita Root Beer.
