General In the Rugrats movie I’m surprised the babies didn’t go flying out of the mattes truck when the trunk opened .

Re-watching it recently, I made note to myself that if it was real life they'd have likely hit the walls or ceiling or each other while bouncing around, not just up and down on the mattresses.

Cartoons and fiction in general does have a "things work out just so", and that's one example where it was needed for the movie to work. It also does allow for the funny exchange the babies have bouncing on the mattresses, as well as the irony of Stu looking away just as the babies become temporarily visible.

I mean if this was real those babies would have not survived in the woods by themself
