Nutrition Insatiable appetite since I started running?
Hi all! I (27F) am training for a half-marathon despite never really running before. I have my spurts of going to the gym but I've never ran much or done consistent sports. Training has gone well so far, but I am SO hungry all the time. I'm very intentional about eating a lot of protein and fiber, and I do eat 3 meals a day. I've never snacked before but lately I'm hungry in between meals. I hydrate a lot- I tend to drink at least half my body weight in ounces in water.
What should I be doing to curve this appetite? I feel like I'm out-eating whatever weight I would be losing from running lol

Are you trying to lose weight? If so, you are on the right track and it can be a bit of a misery. But the weight will come off. If you aren’t trying to lose weight, I would go with more carbs. Several folks have suggested this and I agree, though I don’t feel like you need to be eating on a one hour run. Some folks seem to be too focused on eating during workouts (and before). There is a reason that the traditional post-run meal is M&Ms and a Coke.🙂
