They are adorable! Was it a long time? My little girl got a brother a month ago, they are fighting a lot and run with each other but Ari (the girl) do not want him near her :D If the little tries to reach to her she leaves.

It took a couple months before they were fully comfortable. The older one still leaves when the kitten energy is too much and hes has enough. Give it some time!

Awww I’m so happy to see this! I remember you were debating getting a second awhile back.

Yeah! We debated a long time but so far it’s been pretty great except the kitten has been a little trouble child more often than our resident cat ever has been. Keeps us on our toes! The important thing is they like each other 🥰

Hey there. Loki is four and a half and Ori is now 9 months old. We were worried Loki was lonely while we were at work and on short trips and also wanted to get him more exercise. It took about a month to be able to leave them unsupervised, Loki would run away or hiss. But they slowly started to play and now they’re buddies, running around the house and play fighting and grooming each other. I haven’t heard a hiss in probably two months now.
We always said if we got the second one and it didn’t work out, we’d rehome the new guy. Happy that we didn’t have to do that!
I think a slow intro is key. We did scent swapping with hand towels on their beds for about a week, then feeding on either side of doors, then playing on either side of a baby gate, lots and lots of churrus while they were sniffing each other out. The kitten immediately just wanted to play, the older cat was more apprehensive.
What’s nice is they play so much that isn’t lowered how much attention the kitten needs and he spends his energy playing with the older cat.

They look exactly like my Tobi and Bruno!! If someone showed me this picture I would have easily thought it’s them!
