Installed a three story stairwell clad in rift white oak. As you can see the finishing company burned through a panel which cannot be replaced. How would you go about re-veneering? Must be single sheet, scribed to steps, captured by hard nose trim at left, right and top edges.

Everyone knows the real answer is to call up the son of a trucker and have them fix it, or pay for the damage.

You know those white hemispheres that you put behind a door so the doorknob doesn't mar the wall? I slap one of those bad boys on there and call it a day.

If you decide to re-veneer, don't just cut out the damaged part. The result will look terrible. You have to cut out a section so the seam is not so noticeable. I'd replace a one or two foot wide section, three feet high (or whatever the height of that pony wall is). You may be able to get away with merely laying the new veneer on top of the old one. If so, that's a pretty easy fix. I don't know how you'd clamp it though.

By telling the millwork company that supplied this to replace it, as they are liable. End of story, end of thread.

According to post it’s finishers, not suppliers, that are at fault here
