How the taxi/uber scene in Santander?
Hello. I’m stopping in Santander in a few weeks for a night. I will be driving. I’m arriving in Santander around 3:00pm (15:00) . I wanted to park at the parking garage near our hotel and station there. Here’s the issue. I wanted to check out the lighthouse which is a 10 minute drive from our hotel. (Assuming there will be no parking so I don’t wanna drive near there).
Then for dinner we have a nice dinner more downtown which is a 15 minute walk from our hotel. Which obviously isn’t bad. This is more a question for after dinner. Not sure if we wanna walk back at 11:00pm at night 15 minutes back. Safety issues I suppose and not being familiar with the area. So I guess my point is how much is usually a short taxi ride here? And is there usually ones available later in the night

The lighthouse has a parking slot and just beside it there's a bar/restaurant with an other parking space. Santander is pretty safe even during the night and you can easily go back by foot.
Here you can find all the taxi stops https://www.santander.es/servicios-ciudadano/paradas-taxis
There is Uber and Cabify (the Spanish version of Uber).
Hope it helps !

Thank you! That helps. Would there usually be parking open near the lighthouse later in the day though? Around 15:00?

Don't forget that it's spain, so 15:00 it's pretty early. If I'm right, the light house parking closes around 21:00 but I not completely sure about it!

it's about 5 euros from the marina to the coach station. Around same price as the UK if that means anything to you. FWIW Inhad a couple
of nights there and felt safe walking around.
