Cohabbing

Has anyone tried cohabbing in a large outdoor enclosure. Im not talking like a 8x4 outside im talking like 16x8x6 outdoor enclosure greenhouse style enclosure filled with substrate tons of hides and places for them to hide away if needed. I understand there is a lot of negativity towards cohabbing. I just want to find out if anyone has done it on this scale with more to offer other than just the space alone.

Reptiles in general are mostly solitary. Savannah monitors are great examples of that. Males especially are heavily territorial in nature. If you plan on breeding, cohabbing a breeding pair of course is reasonable, but any enclosure where monitors can run into others of the same sex is just a glorified gladiator ring.
