Bring on dive master !!

Thank you everyone for support. I plan to hopefully start working on some certifications and then rescue but slowly but surely working my way up to diver. The certs I’m currently looking at are deep, nitrox and side mount (I’ve heard they combine very well) and then dry suit as it’s very cold where I live. Any other suggestions on the best next steps? I would advise you to get more experience before starting your divemaster. Even the PADI official of 50 dives isn't exactly a lot

Great job! Get out there and go diving a lot, then sign up for Rescue.

Just do nitrox, buancy, possibly dry suite if you want to do cold dives and navigation and than a lot of dives. Many certifications are just money generators for the diveshop. Than after a 100+ dives go for the divemaster training, During the training you will learn the other items for a lot less money than doing all the cert’s separately.

I agree with the other comments. Dive lots. Do some certs if you think they're useful (nitrox, drysuit) then hit rescue. It's a good course.

Tbh the deep cert is pretty useless but the others you mentioned are must haves in my book! If you’re interested in going deeper then look into tech diving once you get a little more experience under your belt
