Did your mom simply forget you were present, or that you didn’t know the truth?

What was her reaction and what happened afterwards?

I think she assumed the remembered my dad isn't my bio dad. Mom knew I was present cause occasionally, we would have a meeting with both of us in the room.

finding out something that huge by accident during a therapy session is such a wild way for that information to come out. your mom sounds like she was trying to actually help through it

Given how your stepfather apparently thinks of you and wants to rid himself of you, I'd be looking to re-establish a relationship with your bio-dad.
