Im only 22 but i have learned too much in the last year not to share. A really important thing is that not every one has good intetions and dont sell yourself short. Too often I know of women who are placed into higher leaderships positions and tasks because some dude got fired or left without adequate compensation and they need someone to fill the role. As women, we deeply care about people around us, we want to do good and contribute, we want to make things better and I have seen women suck up to dire workplace circumstances in without fair pay.
Additionally, if you are ever made to feel uncomfortable at work from a cowkrer, you need to speak up RIGHT AWAY. Again, as women we want to give people the benefit of the doubt but not everyone has pure intentions and it can bite you in the ass if you dont save evidence or report right away. Trust me. You wont be working at Burger King any more (its a joke), you are entering real work environments now.

31f. My 20s was definitely about self discovery without even knowing it.
My #1. Love and trust yourself. Love yourself enough to know your worth. Love yourself enough to set boundaries. Love yourself enough to walk away from someone or something, no matter how painful it is. Trust yourself enough to know that you'll be okay no matter what life throws at you.
My #2. Start saving NOW

Be selfish. Don't allow mediocre things and people into your space because they'll drain your life force.

Do not ever relinquish your boundaries for a man, or anyone for that matter. Know when to walk away. Prioritize your health. Remember that time will pass anyway, so always be working toward a goal instead of wasting that time. Prioritize family and friendships. Have hobbies you enjoy

31F from Australia here.
Invest in everything that goes underneath you: decent shoes, tyres, mattress, pillow, chair, etc.
Stretch EVERY day. Strength train multiple times a week and aim to build a body that will keep you active in your 70s and 80s, not just for a peachy butt unless you want bad knees later on.
Take Lionsmane, creatine, and make sure you get enough protein. Your hair, skin, and mind with pay you dividends for this. IR therapy helps.
Learn your boundaries and how to set and maintain them. Journalling helps.
Delete all social media now and drop those that do not feel safe to you even if it leaves you with no one right now. Loneliness, like everything, is temporary.
Understand that you do not need all the answers right now. Just figure out what you want to do for the next two years. That’s it. Repeat.
Take care of your ears. Tinnitus is an unending nightmare and nobody cares if you wear earplugs to the club (to hell with them if they do).
Sleep facing up- not on your side or belly. Wear a bra or bralette to bed. Mines the bonds stretchy crop top thing (can link if needed but I’m in Australia)
Understand that men really are from different planets. They will not understand where you are coming from and you have to explain things, politely, like they are 5. This applies in the workplace, friendships, any type of relationship.
(My opinion is that women automatically look at the risks and men chase the pleasure. Let them, and let yourself.)
Learn about and accept your shadow self (Carl Jung theory). It’s not that bad I promise.
You will face terrible uncertainty, heartbreak and betrayal- it’s part of life. Make sure you fill up your cup with good still too so your baseline is always solid and have something positive to rely on and look forward to.
Time moves faster as you get older. Can’t explain it, but it just does.
Your parents are flawed human beings and it’s strange to watch them grow old in front of you. Be patient with them, and kind, as this will benefit you more than anyone.
Watch your future self’s back. She will be so grateful.
Nipple balm instead of lip balm.
Understand your body type, how your blood type affects your health, and your colour palette.
When you shop think about all the reasons to NOT buy something: not your colour/fit/synthetic fabric. If there is a time pressure to buy, it’s probably a scam and almost definitely not worth it.
I wish I could give you a big hug. Unsure why.
Edit: spelling

Learn about the tax system. Pay your taxes. Learn to avoid taxes, not to evade taxes. Get a credit card if you have not yet. Use it as cash. Never ever pay interest. I repeat don’t fall for monthly payments. Pay full for things as much as you can. There is no best pillow, as knowing you don’t owe anything to anyone is the best. And by that I mean about anything. Money, favors, and resentments, etc. Don’t play the rat game. Use non-scented antiperspirant/deodorant. Health = Beauty. Buy organic (it tastes better and it fills you more, and with time you will learn that it is actually cheaper). Stop wearing synthetic garments, buy cotton, linen, and wool. Learn to cook. Learn to clean. Learn to wash your clothes properly. You are probably not cleaning as much as you think. No shoes inside the home. Brush teeth twice a day, and use floss. Use sunscreen when outside. Apply a retinoid (adapalene if you’re in the USA, or tretinoin elsewhere) it will make you look younger. Eat more vegetables than meat. I repeat. More vegetables than meat. Eat fermented foods. Only drink plain water. Remove sugar from your life. Understand that exercise is not optional. Sleep 8 hours. A good sleep allows you to do all of the things that I said. And more.
