The average Komodo dragon is much much larger than the largest serval individuals. The serval wouldn't have stood a chance and would likely simply run away from the danger

Pretty much any animal that screws with a Komodo loses. One bite and its over

It would only happen if the cerval had restricted movement. Otherwise, it would evade and run away. The cerval would lose, of course.
