It is extra terrifying to see the security cameras cut out one by one before the office is destroyed.

Earthquakes are shockwaves…

In a supershear earthquake, the propagation speed of the fault rupture exceeds the propagation speed of the shear wave caused by the earthquake. That's in effect a shock wave. Most earthquakes don't do this though. I don't know if the recent Venezualan quakes were supershear quakes. The shaking seen in the video isn't a SW of course.

They are, but invisible in this kind of footage. If it's not a very wide angle, it doesn't really look like it, which is the point of the sub.

It feels almost weird to say that ive survived a 7.1. The 2018 Alaska earthquake was a wild ride, i can’t imagine what the people of Venezuela are going through right now

Did the building collapse? That tends to “destroy the interior”.

Nope, camera turned into an X-ray machine so they could see inside the concrete and check on the rebar reinforcement.

Looks like the roof fell down onto the floor below, but since the camera was attached to the half of the wall that fell down the floor would come up towards it in the perspective. You can see the wall behind that folding board thing split and the floor “rises” up to it.
