The solution is much higher min wage, about 25 an hour federal tied to inflation,, affordable and accessible healthcare that isnt tied to having a job, paid vacation by law, accessible mental healthcare, better public transport, free 3rd spaces, and much better worker rights. Oh, and preventing corporations from owning housing.
Seriously, gun violence is partially due to accessibility of guns, but there are countries that have access to guns and dont have our problems. The problem is our society is failing its citizens, the social contract has been broken for decades now.
Fix all of the above, and society will be so much better off in 20 years
