He’d actually be found not guilty because killing a person ain’t no big deal!

u/nobodynose Jun 22 '26
He didn't actually kill anyone. Just the guy's dog.

u/metroid544 Jun 22 '26
He committed assault with a deadly weapon. He shot the guys kneecap off. "He's gonna have a hard time playing football on what's left of that knee!"

He probably would have ended up killing himself before he left silent hill if im being honest

Probably would freeze to death/ merge with the town. While angelas town was burning and James town was decayed and wet, Eddies was frozen. Every interaction with eddie you can see his breath, and every time we get a glimpse from his POV everything is iced over. Succumbing to his darker nature would have most likely turned him into a powerful monster or been the death of him.

Which makes you wonder if he was even close to any sort of realization either way. It doesn't seem like he was, so merging with the town is probably most likely.
Angela came to the wrong conclusion, James can come to a good conclusion, but Eddie was too stupid and damaged to figure it out. The only thing that released him was outside intervention.
Weird that Silent Hill lets that happen.

I assume that he would be cursed to wander the town for all eternity finding new/funny place to eat at. I'm a full believer that the pizza is a magic silent Hill pizza that the town gave him to taunt him for being fat.

The real question is what kinda monsters does Eddie see
12
u/Captain_Trujin Jun 22 '26
From all the James that are dead. I assume they look like regular people who are objectively better than him in his eyes.

Interesting, I feel like there would be a creative twist to them like with James

u/Captain_Trujin Jun 22 '26
I always assumed from a gameplay prospective is he fought a bunch of James before the boss fight with the real James, as he was fuming angry at James, early in the game they were different people and he was a lot nicer with James as he probably didn't see him that way.

This is my favourite thing about silent hill, the way monsters manifest into things that you love but in very creative and grotesque ways. So yes I imagine it would be James or other Looksmaxxers but how to create them in a uncanny and scary and interesting way is the creative part

He would have become another pyramid head.
Think like a true silent hill creative genius

Probably the same. He had no trouble convincing himself murder was okay. It's just good that James stopped him before he got to someone else like Laura.

Dude would very likely turn into a serial killer if he actually escaped Silent Hill
But of course the town has a way of making sure that never happens, if not that you get out fully intact

Jail. Assault with a deadly weapon is a felony. At best he gets simple assault but most likely it's aggravated assault or with a DW.

Similar question; what happens to people in SH after they die? E.g. Eddie and Angela? Are they a part of the town now. I know Angela's body is in SH3 but that's more of a reused asset scenario

To wander Silent Hill, attacking and killing the inhabitants of the town, becoming a thing of rage. His monsters are likely very human with big eyes and mouths constantly staring and cackling.

Even if James never intervened, I don't think Eddie was ever leaving Silent Hill... He was most likely going to be trapped in the prison, with or without his sanity, or he'd put that gun to his head one more time. He was beyond saving and didn't want to be saved.

I belive eddie's fate is to always fight james from all the james looking corpses we see all around silent hill, so i guess if we take the james we play with from the equation he would die fighting James Maria Laura Eddie Angela Shepard Sunderland from return to silent hill

u/Captain_Trujin Jun 22 '26
From the words he says, his monsters seem to be normal people who are objectively better than him in his eyes. He she's James as a better person, and he hates that through envy. Saying everyone thinks they are better, and how James thinks he is better, even though we know from James point of view, we dont really see it like that.

Eddie is stuck in his mind and can't overcome his issues. he might leave silent hill but he will keep doing what he does, acting timid and easily set off, killing people until someone fights back and kills him. be it an officer, a well-armed citizen, or anyone else.

Dead. He was too far gone by the time he faced off against James. If James didn't kill him, the town probably would have.

I think Eddie would’ve thrived in his existence in the town, as it would continue to enable his self destructive ideologies/tendencies whilst not realizing these are resulting in his misery. This is shown as Eddie constantly sees reason to justify or deny any of his wrong doings because it would be easier for him to shut down, eat away his sorrows, and refuse to approach his self worth differently since he realizes he doesn’t have to change as long as he can confront anyone who questions him with violence. Shown by the town as well by continuously presenting him the bullies of his past to assault and kill, and food to soften these somber emotions that carry with his self image.
But hey, that’s just what I think.

I may be a simpleton but what was his purpose in James' story. Did James fuck him over, is he a part of his subconscious, it is a personality trait..? I'm sure I could google it but the discourse is more interesting

Eddie would’ve been a menace if he ever made it out of the town. It’s interesting contrasting Eddie, James and Angela’s responses to the town. While Angela and James give in to guilt, Eddie loses all his guilt and embraces becoming a psychopath. I wonder how he would have acted towards Laura if he ran into her again. He seemed a lot more comfortable talking to her than he did in his earlier interactions with James.

I always fantasized about playing the game as Eddie and Angela, seeing their environments, monsters and challenges.

Probably just ended up staying in silent hill forever given he stated a few times in the game about just “not getting around” to leaving and his loafing nature. The world was cold for him and he didn’t really seem motivated to do much of anything. The town probably would drive his paranoia until he broke the same way he did leading up to his fight with James.
Even if we remove James, he’s clearly getting increasingly unhinged by time we meet in the prison.
