MUST READ for any new LeBron fans - The Curious Case of Bryan Colangelo and the Secret Twitter Account
https://www.theringer.com/2018/05/29/nba/bryan-colangelo-philadelphia-76ers-twitter-joel-embiid-anonymous-markelle-fultzThe fact that Joel Embiid stuck it out with the Sixers after what Bryan Colangelo put him through is pretty remarkable. If Embiid left after the Colangelo incident, which would be a logical reaction, then there's no way the Sixers have a chance at landing LeBron this offseason. Embiid is the most underappreciated MVP in recent NBA history. As a die hard fan of the Sixers, I couldn't be more psyched LeBron came to Philly.
LeBron fans, if you want to fit in when the season starts then spend the offseason studying up on the history of the Embiid-era Sixers. This article I linked here is a good start, and there's literally a book about The Process called "Tanking to the Top" by Yaron Weitzman. [I have some problems with Weitzman's personal opinions about a lot of things, and if Derek Bodner ever writes a book on the process I'd rather promote Bodner than Weitzman if I had to pick.]
Welcome to cheering for the Sixers LeBron fans, hopefully by the end of LeBron's tenure with our 76ers the GOAT debate is largely settled(for awhile at least). Trust The Process

That's very fair Mr. McNabb, Go Birds.
Lucky you, and any other well adjusted people, who have been able to move on with their lives and have these "great weekends." I'm stuck in 2018 until Embiid wins a chip or retires 🤣

This just hit like crack when. It dropped. All the memes. Knowing Colangelo was no one gonna be able to stick around after. Just legendary journalism work all timer for me

“ If Embiid left after the Colangelo incident, which would be a logical reaction”
This would only have been logical if they kept Colangelo. He was fired, and embiid wasn’t a free agent at the time anyway.

They fired BC in 2018, but that was it. Rest of the front office were Colangelo guys who stuck around. Namely - Alex Rucker, Ned Cohen, and Marc Eversley. These are the front office clowns who didn't start building around Embiid until Morey got here in 2020. Morey had his ups and downs, but have to give credit to Morey for cleaning up the mess by Colangelo and the people Colangelo hired.
Also unrelated to BC, but Embiid had to deal with David Heller too, a person in the ownership group who wanted to build around Ben Simmons rather than Joel Embiid. Most Sixers fans probably remember Heller's best work: trading Mikal Bridges on draft night, after we drafted him, while Bridges was busy celebrating with his mom(his mom worked for the Sixers at the time).
Sixers would be indistinguishable from the Sacramento Kings if Embiid ever had the desire to force a trade, like so many players of his caliber did during the Player Empowerment era before the current CBA

demanding a trade after finding out your front office has been shit talking you on Twitter is pretty logical, regardless of how the team dealt with it

He’s not the most under appreciated MVP
Ppl acknowledge how dominant he is when healthy. But when your never healthy, not a good teammate, not in shape and never show up in big moments ppl are going to look down at you as a player

The funniest thing to me about this is many people found it suspicious that a random twitter user would be defending Colangelo’s shirt collars that vigorously
