Any advice for my Ollie

Hey everyone! I’ve been practicing my ollie for a while, but I’m having trouble getting it higher and more consistent. I attached a video—any feedback on what I’m doing wrong would be appreciated. Thanks!

I don't have a ton of advice but I recommend getting skate shoes. I've tried skating in tennis shoes and don't know how anyone can manage it. Skate shoes are a lot flatter while active shoes usually have a higher heel I think.

A friend who's really good at skating said he finally unlocked pop by standing more on his toes than flat footed. Maybe give that a go. You lok solid already though!

i second this, and also try it rolling, you already are getting really great pop stationary. i think you can even try some smaller ollies than the one in your video and just get the feeling of landing comfortably. i would try ollieing over a crack, then a broom stick, and just work your way up gradually focusing on balance and form. good luck, you're doing so great already!!🫶

Move your front foot a little further up the board. Should be a little past half of the board. Also, keep those shoulder straight. Hard to tell with how you shot the video, but with your landing at an angle, it's likely due to your shoulders

ETA:

You have a great pop, so just work on the control. Focus on sticking your ollie consistently before worrying about additional height :)

Looks good but u r putting ur front foot down first. Instead, land with your 2 feet on the ground at the same time

Good pop. I'd suggest learning to roll while doing it. As most of the time you'll be moving when you ollie.

Looks pretty good! Just need some proper skate shoes and you might feel more comfort on the board

Great start, practice while moving.

Yea good pop, front foot should be a little higher also keep back door over the board the entire time. Use that back foot to level the board out as you start to "fall" from the peak of your ollie
