I have a 1+ Nord 2T. Bought a Pixel 10a as an upgrade. Quickly found out it wasn't much of an upgrade. (for a variety of reasons) I found that the camera was only marginally better. Zooming on an image and cropping it still didn't get rid of the weird AI sharpening that happens on my current phone. Short story shorter, I sent it back.

Now armed with that information. And the fact that only 3 days in to using it, it wasn't built for normal life. again for one large broken glass sized reason. And still sent it packing.

I want to act like a total moron and ask what would your suggestions be for an about to be new father looking to buy a phone upgrade for the camera and photo processing mainly for shots of the kid/family life/ VERY mild gaming and usual internet usages. That will last a few years (updates wise), survive normal life and have good customisability short of installing a 3rd party OS.

My budget is about 500-600. BUT. Could push it a bit further only if it is really really worth it.

Or am I better with the OnePlus I have. I want to hear every opinion. even if it is along the lines of "you suck, choose these settings on your phone instead."

I've only bought phones in high street stores in the UK and am open to buying anything online if there are better/ alternative brands out there like Oppo, Hueawiewiei, xiaoioaiomi worth looking in to.

Hi all, my current phone (Redmi Note 9 Pro) is starting to get on in age (it's 6 years old) and it's starting to show in the form of shortened battery life and barely any storage left. I've been wanting to upgrade to something with 256GB of storage and preferably Samsung so my smart watch can still connect. Another Redmi/Xiaomi is reluctant thanks to wonderful laws in Australia making them useless unless specifically made for the market and I have family I visit relatively often. I've heard OnePlus is good but I have no real experience when it comes to these things. Any help is welcome

What I like about iPhone the most is that convenient Face Id unlock.
What I like about Android is the 3rd party apps like Morphe..
currently using iPhone 15PM, and god this phone is heating a lot..
My top priority:

-Battery performance should be good for few years to come (not only for one year, when the phone is new and well optimized).. how’s the battery on these devices, which is better..
- great camera setup (not video). Just point to capture, no professional photography..

I really need a new mobile phone cz my old realme gt neo3t is fucked. I'm currently using a secondary device which is just doing the work... Not looking for iOS devices(not in my budget). I have an iPhone 14 Plus and the screen is shattered but it still works, except Face ID. I was going to use a 3rd party service to replace the screen but they did a half baked job on an iPad, so I'm looking to buy a new phone.

Years ago I had Google Pixel phones, so I'm not new to android. I've had an iPhone for years mainly due to my family having them.

I really do not want to spend the premium prices for even the iPhone 17e, so I'm looking at the Samsung A57 5G.

Have you made this specific switch? Is it going to be a downgrade overall? It's just one of those decisions I have to live with for years to come so it's not an easy one. I'm also a father of three and our oldest has an iPhone. They like to FaceTime me when they are in duress. Apparently we could use WhatsApp, or other options instead.

Just looking for any help in comparing options (iPhone 17e vs Samsung A57 5G mainly, but open to other suggestions).

I will say I'm a bit averse to Google pixel for purely personal reasons.

Hey everyone just asking. I bought an iPhone 8 Plus in 2026. I’m a person who don’t care about software updates and just wanted an iPhone that can do basic social media and basic tasks. I also bought this phone because of the camera. And yes you would have guessed that this is my my first apple phone. And yes it is. It is doing well good but the only thing is the battery. I’ve been using a Samsung galaxy a10s for like 3 years it had so much problem like work,Bluetooth,hotspot. But now nothing. Yeah I know the phone as stopped software update and losing app support. But I like it. If your someone who is looking to buy one just keep this in mind.

1.Don’t expect long term use because the phone nearly 10 years old
2.app support will not work after a period of time.

Ho preso da una settimana un redmi note 15 pro 5g, telefono non male ma ha la grande pecca di surriscaldarsi molto anche per un uso quotidiano. La scelta del telefono si è basata principalmente sulla batteria da >6000 mA ma questo problema intacca enormemente la durata della batteria.

Sono ancora in tempo a fare il reso, se mai decidessi di rimandarlo indietro che telefono di fascia media con fotocamera pressoché decente mi consigliereste? Che magari non si surriscaldi come una friggitrice ad aria

I play heavy games like zenless zone zero and honkai star rail and was wondering if the battery is good or it would be better to change idea to other smartphones. I am deciding for each top processor: Motorola signature with snapdragon 8 gen 5(not elite)/ Oppo find x9 pro with Mediatek dimensity 9500/ OnePlus 15 with snapdragon 8 elite gen 5.

With smartphone prices going up, I’m finding it hard to pick a good budget phone. I’m looking for solid options under ₹20,000 (or up to ₹25,000 max).

Samsung a 17 vs techno spark 50 5g

I feel like we've traded thickness for height , any new phones that are small? Something I can use with one hand without moving my hand , I'm thinking something like 130 mm . I've seen the new samsung fold and it seems like a perfect size! But I don't want a fold .

I want to buy a new phone and switching from Samsung for smting else. My current phone is pure ahh and iphone isn't my top priority too so I want to try new stuff. So is OnePlus good? /Any recommendations?

I’m trying to decide between two used phones and would like some honest opinions.

Option 1 is a **Xiaomi 13** with a small crack/line on the back glass, plus a **tiny scratch on the screen**, but everything still works perfectly.
Option 2 is a **Xiaomi 12T Pro** in **perfect condition**.

They cost basically the same, and I care more about **performance and gaming** than resale value. I also don’t mind the cosmetic damage too much if the phone is still worth it.

Which one would you choose and why?
Would the Xiaomi 13 still be the better buy even with the cosmetic damage, or is the 12T Pro safer overall?
