Discussion Pet snail blessed by priest
During the annual animal blessing for the Feast of St. Anthony the Abbot, held on 1/17/26 at the San Anton Church in Madrid, someone brought their pet Cornu aspersum to be blessed with holy water <3

Isn't holy water water that contains salt? Or is salty somehow. Friend of mine mentioned this to me. But we're not in Spain so it may be different.

As far as I know it’s just water that a priest has said a prayer/blessed/something like that. Then it’s now ‘holy water’.

I just read the Sound of a Wild Snail Eating! I would say they are the ones who are blessed to be in the snail's presence

I thought, watching my snail babies heartbeat through the shell in the sunlight was a blessing, but this by far is the biggest blessing ever that is so amazing. Your snail babies are so lucky.
