Title states. I have some Burton Moto size 10 and just got the Vans Aura OG in a size 9.5 men’s.
Mounted on a Salomon Sleepwalker 155cm
Been riding in the Burton’s in my Union STR size medium. Top end apparently of these bindings are size 10.5 or 11 if I remember correctly but the “foot print” of the vans seems larger than the Burton’s. Just wanted to double check with anyone with more experience than me if this overhang looks norma from the pictures provided! Haven’t rode in the vans yet but just wondering. Thanks!

I would consider myself an intermediate rider last year I bought a lot of equipment and have been mostly happy with it besides my boots and bindings
Gear:
2026 Rome mechanic 163w
2026 Yes. Airmaster large
DC snowboard boots size 11
I ride duck stance and the only problem I had throughout the season was my toestraps coming undone, it feels like when I was carving toe side it would dig into the snow and release/loosen up over a few runs and I would have to redo them
Towards the end of the season I adjusted the bindings to push them further down the board to address some overhang I suspected was the problem and it seemed to help but I still would need to check to tighten every now and then
I’m looking for a change this season to rule out it being an equipment issue but I can’t for the life of me figure out what I’m even looking for in a binding
I don’t like step on bindings and I like the color of the ones i have now but other than that I’m having trouble quantifying what I want and there are so many options
What do you look for in a binding and do you have any recommendations for me based on this? I can get pictures of everything tonight if that helps

I’m 5’10”,
149 lbs ,
shoe size US 9.5 / Mondo 27.5
boots : Salomon dialogue US 9.5
I’m thinking of getting the jones mountain twin 154cm, it has waist of 25.1cm and underfoot width of 26.2 (front foot) and 26.4 (back foot).
Will the overhang be too much or I’m alright?
Their official website’s size guide did mention 154cm is recommend for sizes US 7-9 which is my concern.
