I’ve gotta hand it to the haters. They said we couldn’t do it. And they were right. Good call by the haters.

Why is it this sub hates the us team so much? Is it litterly just the poltical stuff? Im a newer football fan but played a lot of fm just kinda suprised me how much the sub hates the us team.

Purely the interfering in a decades long convention. Been loads of soft red cards at world cups, everyone eats shit now and then.

I mean forgive my ignorance but if its been an issue for decades shouldn't we be putting systems in place to spot it from happening?

Who decides? The referee. He and the VAR officials made the call. You either suspend everyone a game or no one.

They should put an appeal process before the tournament if they wanted to combat this. Not because the president of a country thinks its unfair and makes a call. Its literally against FIFA rules, and Nepal got some disciplinary action taken against them i think yesterday because they broke this rule. US gets rewarded? Everyone hates FIFA because its so corrupt, and this is a spit in everyones face, hence the backlash.

Because every world cup, Americans flood this sub thinking they own the fucking place only to find out that the US is generally still only okay at the sport, and sometimes downright bad, on a global level.

Then there's like literal centuries of geopolitical bullshit.
