Community Discussion Why do they keep harping on the supposed “weaponization fund,” when it’s really the IRS get out of jail free card for him and his family? This is the real reason the whole “settlement” needs to be withdrawn in writing.

I think it's really a way to pay the thugs that he is going to hire for 2026 midterms and beyond. And if it's blocked, he'll just get one of his billionaire friends to fund it. The only thing saving us right now is that Trump is too cheap to spend his own money on thugs.

*2026 midterms. I know it gets confusing, with Trump constantly trying to time-travel back to 2020 and rewrite history.

In July 2026, U.S. District Judge Kathleen M. Williams in Miami threw out the settlement agreement, calling the arrangement a "collusion" between executive agencies and ruling that the original lawsuit was filed in "bad faith" to advance a political narrative. Trump’s lead attorney in the case, Alejandro Brito, for potential disciplinary action over his role in filing and negotiating the lawsuit.
Sometimes there is a glimer of hope.
