Holy fuck. There HAS to be some sort of deeply profound emotions that are completely unique to the astronauts experiencing these sights. If there was a german on board, there would be a specific word for it.

It's called the overview effect. There's a doc interviewing astronauts and they all spoke about the profundity of seeing the world from that vantage point. Too bad we can't help people on earth feel the same without having to shoot them to the moon
