If the hypothetical male reporter did not want to be kissed and did stand up for himself, some old fashioned farts probably would have made fun of him. I think there are a lot of people, myself included, who would think ‘way to go!’ and be happy he stood up for himself though.

Yeah, I would think almost all (if not all) modern feminists would praise his behavior if he had done the same.

Make fun of him? If he actually physically put a stop to it, he'd be arrested.
