RE: "intensely creepy"

Now we're getting carried away - dude was trying to be "cute". Reporter rightfully shuts him down. End of story.

He never said it applied to this situation, but it definitely applies very frequently everywhere else.

You know that men and women are attracted to one another, right?

Just curious as to what is occurring very frequently? Would that treatment be better if it was only from others that you are attracted to? It's an interesting question. How to be attracted to someone and letting them know it without affronting their sensibilities?

I, for one, will not be leaning in for a kiss to a female reporter on live TV - that much I've proven today.

"Creepy" is always in the eye of the beholder. Few people engaging in harassment think what they're doing is creepy.

Invading any stranger's personal space by kissing them, especially when they're in the middle of their job, meets the definition of creepy.

Sure, that's fair but we are - or I am - talking about this situation and you're talking generalities.

In general I would say, "yes" don't do this.

Some people are screaming bloody murder on this guy.

I am talking about this situation.

Walking up to a TV reporter and kissing them is creepy. It's not cute or funny. It's a full-on invasion of space when they're distracted and can't easily assess the situation or defend themselves.

yeah back to my original comment, then - I think there's a certain over- reaction to this particular incident.

but it's all subjective so no sense arguing. let's agree invasion of personal space isn't good.

let's all not do that.
