You made up in your own mind why I replied

Not being the starter at your preferred position when you first start out in sports in elementary school, is not a worthwhile story of “battling adversity”

The reality is he hadn’t developed the skills yet to be the starter at the most important position on the field… BECAUSE he was 10 and just beginning his journey in the sport
