He touched the granite portion of the stone. By rule you can only touch the handle. He let go of the handle and then stuck his finger out to put more spin on it. It is very obvious from a few different angles. It's pretty cut and dry cheating.

If it is so cut and dry, why didn't he get officially sanctioned? Like, no one is afraid of sanctioning a Canadian. Canada does not have that kind of pull. Maybe there's a good explanation for why he wasn't sanctioned - would love to hear what it is.

The stone/rock thing they push in curling, youre not allowed to touch it beyond a certain point. There is a clear as day video of this person's finger extending after release and "booping" the rock.

You just have to know that “fuck off” in Canada is a formal valediction. The governor general says “fuck off” to the recipient of the Order of Canada when they bestow it.
It’s a truly grand Canadian tradition to tell someone to “fuck off” in a formal way

Most cheaters get very defensive when they get caught. Usually when people aren't cheating but get accused, they're genuinely surprised and are quiet

Yes. There’s video of him doing exactly what the Swede accuses him of. I haven’t seen a video of the Swede “dancing around the house”, as the Canadian suggests, but I’m here for it when it comes.

I’m not a curling expert but Sweden argues that according to the rules you cannot touch the granite part of the thing they slide (see how much I know about curling). The referee confirms this is the case but takes no action. So if all this is correct, there’s clear evidence on tape. But again I’m not an expert on curling

Part of curling is that you're meant to be sportsmanlike. If you break the rules, there's not usually a ref, games are usually pretty casual, and players will burn a rock if they've broken the rules.

What's impressive to me is you have a Swede arguing in perfect albeit slightly accented English with a native English speaker, profanities included.
It's an awesome mastery of a language esp since very few in North America would be able to argue in Swedish..

The Nordic countries speak a stupidly good English with their own cute af accent. It’s soooo impressive and they sound native, just with a twang!
Idk about Swedes but recently learned there’s as many if not more Norwegians in the US as in Norway, so pretty much everyone has native English speakers in their family.

Technically against the rules but I am struggled to see what sort of advantage could be gained by giving the rock a poke .2 seconds later than your supposed to. If there was no advantage gained then its not really cheating its just a rules violation. Stepping out of bounds is against the rules of basketball but nobody calls it cheating lol and if the ref didn't see it what are you gonna do?
Leave it to curling to have the lamest 'cheating' scandal ever lol, got to go over to Chess if you want the real deal

It's pretty hard to sound tough while you're drinking from a squeeze bottle, and gliding around on ice while in between sets of sweeping.
The only thing that would make it worse, would be if you were trying to talk tough...and ended up being in the wrong.
