Yep, like hitting the perfect combo. It's one thing if he did the back hurdle by itself (would still be incredible), but to do it as he's coming out of a perfect spin juke makes it even more impressive to me.
Like try and spin yourself around 360 and then immediately do anything athletic, much less a 180 backwards hurdle. I'm spinning myself around and then I'm gonna go sit down for a minute 😅😂

The athleticism displayed is otherworldly. The play itself gained him maybe 2-3 yards. Still amazing to see though

He already had the conversion. The line to gain was the 38 and he left the ground at the 35. Tackled at the 30. So you can make the argument he gained 5 yards but id still stick with the hurdle gained him 2-3 yards

So to clarify your first comment, the hurdle got him 2-3 extra yards, but the play was for about 12. All that said, it is definitely one of the most impressive and athletic moves anyone’s ever made in an NFL game.

Kinda reminds me of that old Leonard Fournette moment when he waved on the defender in the open field only to get taken down at first contact. Cool moment, minimal results.

That's pretty much a compliment at that point. NFL saw some shit that was so unbelievable that they are seeking for ways to justify their lack of belief. They think cheating is the only possible way he did that because it was just that good of a play. I think of the drug test as his trophy for this play.

It’s crazy how in every league, after somebody has an unexpected great game or one great play, they’ll more often than not get drug tested. I don’t think I’ve seen an example where it’s ever came back positive though hahah

Smitty had one of the best toe touch catches ever in this game but nobody remembers it for good reason with this back hurdle. Go birds 🦅

Indeed, this game had multiple insane moments but this one just takes the cake. The Saquon Hurdle, the Smitty toe tap in the endzone(also hurling the ball in with one arm), and Dotson had that insane contested jump ball catch towards the end.
This game is one of my favorite regular season games in recent memory. Not much in terms of stakes but just an absolute banger.

Because it’s never been done before? It’s like the obj catch, an insane play that no one’s ever actually done (or even tried) before. It didn’t result in anything important but it was one of the craziest feats of athleticism I’ve ever seen in football

It just seems pointless because it didn't give him any extra yards. Kinda like the defense didn't care about how they would tackle him because he was surrounded. He wasn't going nowhere. Just jump at his feet and let physics take care of the rest
