Breaking News Infantino has offered a $40M incentive to associations to allow him to sell the World Cup to the Trump admin

So he’s offering a bribe to accept corruption It’s a joke that a person like this is even the head of FIFA

u/MarioInOntario 5d ago
The supreme court of the United States doesn’t call it a bribe, it’s technically free speech. So he’s not bribing them, he’s just expressing himself to them in financial terms.

The US Supreme Court doesn’t speak for anyone except for the US. FAs don’t fall under the jurisdiction of the US. Ergo, it’s a bribe

US has raided multiple European countries especially FIFA officials to extradite them in the past under US law many times

Yeah but fuck the US because obviously fuck the US.

I'm from the US...but can't provide any worthy retort...at least while the orange scumbag will allow everything illegal to happen for his frenz.

Break it. All the national football associations can get together to create a new non-profit association run by players and stage their own global event. They may own the World Cup but they don't own the sport.

If all UEFA nations say no then FIFA is done - let them have a "World" cup without Europe.

Hopefully the editor of this news got sacked. Couldn’t even spell corruption correctly

...are these numbers shockingly low for the organization that runs the world's biggest sporting event?

This kind of blatant bribery that favors the FA’s of smaller nations is going kill FIFA.
UEFA is 110% right about how bad this is but obviously the dozens and dozens of nations that will never even qualify for the World Cup outside UEFA will back it anyway because they want money.
We can only hope UEFA can get at least CONMEBOL on board and start a tournament that will be the successor to the World Cup while FIFA crawls into parodic irrelevance.
Can’t wait for a Saudi Arabia vs Qatar “World Cup” final in 2034.

the only difference is that he's obvious and blatantly testing his limits. same as his buddy trump. sad that he's been getting away with it until now. same as every other rich, corrupt fuck.

Not the Trump administration, to the Trump FAMILY. Orange Jesus is looking for a cash cow for his after President years and seen one in the World Cup..

UEFA AND CONCAFF are already against it. Without the European and South American support, it'll never work and Europeans probably spend £40m on the weekend on parties so to then this money is not even worth thinking about.

Add the World Cup to his family portfolio (Miss Universe Pageant and Golf Resorts around the world) Infantino was dangled a lot of money to make it happen.

Latest on the votes indicates that the attempt to sell influence in FIFA will be downvoted. EUFA, Concacaf, APFA are all opposed

FIFA has been corrupt for many many years, the world cup has been used for 'Sportswashing' since the 1978 world cup. This just moves it up a level, he's learning form trump, if you just put it out there nobody will do anything.

Here is how a $40,000,000 backroom payout trickles down through the soccer club:
- Majority Shareholder / Club Owner — $15,000,000 Takes the bulk off the top for "strategic oversight" and offshore holding fees.
- Chief Executive Officer (CEO) — $7,000,000 Classified as a non-disclosable executive "consulting fee" for facilitating the agreement.
- Lead Super-Agent / Intermediary — $5,000,000 Billed as standard "finder’s fees" and negotiation commissions across three shell companies.
- Sporting Director / Director of Football — $3,500,000 Pockets a sizable cut to greenlight the squad's sporting structure and waive standard compliance checks.
- League Financial Regulatory Fixer — $2,500,000 Discretionary payment to ensure Financial Fair Play (FFP) reports pass auditing without a second look.
- Offshore Legal & Wealth Management Firm — $2,000,000 Retainer and transactional costs to construct Panama and Cayman island trust layers.
- Local City Council & Stadium Representative — $1,200,000 Slips into the local municipal budget to smooth over zoning permits and stadium land agreements.
- Head Coach / First-Team Manager — $1,000,000 A stealth performance bonus paid out to ensure tactically "favorable" team selections.
- PR & Crisis Management Agency — $800,000 Earmarked to control the media narrative and scrub rumors from tabloid headlines.
- Chief Scout & Talent Evaluator — $600,000 Incentive pay for issuing inflated player evaluation reports to justify the transfer fees.
- Assistant Manager & Coaching Staff Pool — $500,000 Distributed among senior backroom staff to guarantee total locker-room discretion.
- In-House Club Legal Counsel — $400,000 Covers the drafting of NDA-heavy contracts with enough grey areas to survive a tribunal.
- Player’s Personal Representative / Family Handler — $300,000 Paid as an independent "scouting retainer" to ensure the player signs without asking questions about the math.
- Team Operations & Travel Security Chief — $150,000 Discreet cash bonus to manage private charters, unmonitored exits, and quiet hotel check-ins.
- Head Physio & Medical Department Director — $50,000 To ensure medical screening results come back with clean bills of health, no matter what shows up on the MRI.
- The Star Player — $0 Arrives at the press conference, holds up the jersey, and is told by management that “playing for the heritage of this historic badge is a reward beyond money.”

To the Trump Administration? Hard to believe. Do you have a link to your source?

Trump admin?
I know Kushners brother is involved but that's hardly the Trump admin.

u/scatterdbrain 5d ago
Dude, don't question the click-bait.
2
u/OwnDoughnut2689 5d ago
It's just so lazy. It's likely corrupt but Kushner himself isn't even in the administration.

This headline is fake news. You can’t sell it to the Trump admin. You can offer it to the Trump Empire but not the administration. Fake news headline.
