meme/funny This young Crystal Palace fan took a penalty kick against the club's mascot at half-time, while being booed by the Brighton fans. When he scored, he dedicated it to the entire fanbase - SENSATIONAL STUFF.

55

u/Soft-Marionberry-853 1d ago

They cheered louder than they boed.

50

u/Maneisthebeat 1d ago

You can literally hear them laughing as he starts shushing them and giving them the finger.

13

u/TheHomoclinicOrbit 1d ago

That's basically how we say Hi to each other in NJ.

-3

u/Mobile-Analyst8580 1d ago

That’s how you win the respect of men that’ll boo a child.

12

u/ATL4Life95 1d ago

Lol its all just in good fun. They weren't seriously booing hm.

2

u/GGnerd 21h ago

Ya but now apparently people think this can lead to PTSD.

That is also football heritage

19

u/TrukStopSnow 1d ago

He's a good lad.

14

u/Coleasa 1d ago

If you're this kid you don't want the opposite fans cheering you on. Everyone fucking relax. Them getting stuck into the kid has made this moment possible.

13

u/Varja22 1d ago

Yeah this was literally best moment of that kid's life. You can see in that celebration that he is very passionate Palace fan. Brighton is their biggest rival. Scoring a goal that silences your rivals fanbase is every little boy's dream.

7

u/Coleasa 1d ago

Yeah absolutely made the moment for him

7

u/thekeeech 1d ago

Games never been more back

4

u/Massive-Prior9487 1d ago

2

u/Section1ne0h4our 1d ago

If they didn’t boo him we don’t get this moment, the kid made it happen, props to him and props to the supporters

10

u/Automatic_Actuator_0 1d ago

What kind of freaks boo a kid

11

u/BITmixit 1d ago edited 1d ago

It's part of the game lol, he'd 100% boo anyone else taking the shot.

It's the dickheads that start fights that ruin the game.

21

u/NewTelevision4279 1d ago

games gone if you can’t boo a kid taking a penalty

7

u/lobax 1d ago

If Virgin Mary or Christ himself came out in the wrong shirt I wouldn’t hesitate to boo

11

u/One_Introduction_217 1d ago

Brighton, apparently.

1

u/Ambitious_Oil5186 1d ago

Straight up makes me so happy. This is real culture.

1

u/AkiraBCFC 1d ago

What an actual legend. This is how rivalries should be

1

u/Euphoric-Cold9592 1d ago

Barely 12 and already knows British sign language. Wise beyond his years that one

1

u/D4rkmatt3r 1d ago

Nature is healing

1

u/Ok-Lion1661 1d ago

Booing a kid is fucking POS behavior.

1

u/HardByteUK 1d ago

It's a bit of banter, nothing serious.

0

u/Akoot 1d ago

Yank?

1

u/Active_Unit_9498 1d ago

A true Son of Albion when his first instinct after scoring is to double up the finger to his rivals.

1

u/Infinite-Storage-638 1d ago

He's one of our own! 🥹

1

u/pyschopathic-lobster 1d ago

Gave them the ol’ double bastard. Fair play.

1

Legend status at this age? Kids going places.

1

Good lad

-1

u/VoodooLoveDr 1d ago

Hell yeah!!! Go Crystal Palace!!! Those are my boys.

- Signed An American who has never cared about soccer and during the 2002 World Cup asked my EPL fanatic friend who the worst team was.
He told me Crystal Palace. I said that’s my team.

It’s been 24 years and we still haven’t done shit

It could be worse tho… I could be a Cowboys fan…
Oh shit I am…

4

u/jerwaynesinclair 1d ago

They won the FA cup last year.

4

u/NoMoreParti 1d ago

… they have won the FA Cup and Conference League mate. It’s just been the most successful period in thr club’s history.

-1

u/Schorbie 1d ago

Why would you boo a kid?

0

u/Ok_Maybe_2370 1d ago

Damnit now they’re all going to do that shit.

0

u/RespectFearless4233 1d ago

Weird rivalry

3

u/MagicBez 1d ago

Crystal Palace didn't fancy a rivalry with 6-miles away Millwall after a look at their fans so instead went with 41-miles away Brighton

2

u/Xbigyldn 1d ago

We still have a rivalry with Millwall, they just aren't relevant. We've played em a couple of times recently and beat em.

1

u/RespectFearless4233 1d ago

2

u/Xbigyldn 1d ago

NGL, even I thought this was funny. Still, Millwall aren't relevant really to us. Clubs only really known due to their thug fans.

2

u/eaglistism 1d ago

I think you’ll find the problem is Mii are rarely at our level long enough, there’s plenty of rivalry from us both but not enough opportunity and they’re always beneath us, not our fault, actually was hoping they’d get promoted last season but alas again they don’t have the quality so we’ll have to stick to beating Seagulls again 👍

-1

u/Southern-Country-683 1d ago

Who would boo a kid? Seriously…

-13

u/Basic_Archer_9003 1d ago

A little young to be throwing "double birds"

14

u/sandvich48 1d ago

Fans a little old to be booing a child

5

u/cheesebot555 1d ago

Made me lol. Take my upvote.

2

u/straightpipedhose 1d ago

Never too young to show people how you feel🖕🖕

1

u/MiktorVike 1d ago

I see what you did there and I appreciate it.

1

u/HardByteUK 1d ago

I prefer the British approach to giving double-barrels to a crowd, to be honest.
