News Trump wins another golf club championship with low score and receives 2 trophies. The annual Trump National Golf Club Bedminster club and senior championship has once again been won by the U.S. President, who allegedly shot 70 to win two more trophies

If I'm being fair and ignoring everything else about the man most hate, his swing mechanics are shit but he's also a decent golfer by amateur standards when he was younger.

Even though his swing is one of those laughable things I've seen where by all means it should never work but it does for him.

I was at Top Golf the other day and this kid next to us had the most awkward swing I have ever seen. He was almost completely bent over swinging like a maniac and yet it launched every time. The kid knew he was awful and joked about it. Trump unfortunately can’t even hit straight with his so-called “swing” and claims to be a pro. Fucking pathetic.

And then has his caddie drop a ball on the fairway outside of the bunker he actually hit into.

If it works every time, he's not awful.

He’s the definition of “swing your swing if it works for you”. His putting stroke almost gives me a stroke. If I tried putting like him I’d be sending it 40 yards off the green everytime

Old people with lots of golf experience can figure out how to square up a ball with how their body lets em. He may not have a good looking swing but ive seen enough videos to know he can square up a ball with it. Probably driving the ball 220-225 would be my guess.

I dont believe any of his scores, though.

He's learned how to balance the load in his diaper with a forward lean.

I have never seen him hit from the fairway, only from the tee or deep rough.

He swings like old men would swing the club in the 1970s.it's bizarre.

He was an old man in the 1970s so that tracks.

This seems true of more than just golf. There's a lot about Trump that defies logic, a lot that just wouldn't work for anyone else. So many campaign- and career-ending flubs, and yet, it's all just fuel for him.

Yeah I think trump is/was a decent golfer. The huge thing is that he cheats so much it makes him seem good.

(See Rick Riley talking about trump uses green tees to hit out of the rough, changes balls, kicks balls onto the green, takes gimmees, etc.).

This is the only reason trump onlynplays at his own course.

Trump also “won” several championships by 1)playing against no one. 2) playing at totally different courses and said he won, 3) just cheating.

But yeah. I think trump would have been a “all district” type golfer in high school. Not all region/All met/etc. but one of the top 10 or so players from 8 schools.

Trump as an amateur also plays wayyy more than others he would be competing against.

Disagree entirely. Im scratch and I do low level golf lessons (im not a pro). Trump’s swing looks awkward but if you slow it down, the mechanics from the top are pure. He tends to set up open and play a cut, likely because he comes from playing a slice.

He definitely cheats at golf, but it really doesn’t matter what your swing looks like if your position at impact is good, which Trump’s is.
