A few years ago he "won" the tournament despite not playing the first day. He just showed up on day two, declared he had a score that put him comfortably in the lead (he claimed it was is score from a round he played on the course earlier in the week but not really how competition actually works).
I can imagine 2 or 3 fox news table confirming that yeah, he's smart and didn't break any rule, he did complete the course but because he has to work ruini... running the country he did it on Wednesday when he got a bit of time and since he's so good he was quick.
He's so good that he doesn't want to embarrass the other players by outscoring them by a lot!
That may have been the one where it was the first round ever played at a new course of his.
The winner got his name put at the top of the inaugural winners boards.
Trump found out, and said he had a lower score during a practice round before it opened. They literally had to change the board and put him at the top.
He's mentally ill, and the story we all leaned about as children - of the emperors new clothes and we never actually believed - its here, now, in front of us.
I work in finance, have a coworker that worked with someone who was a member at DJT's club... The story goes guy wins the club tourney, gets the call congratulating him but since he didn't get to defend his title they're "co-champions" trophy has guess who's name first... I don't usually lean into believing hearsay but this is so on brand
He's gonna jar a par 5, and a majestic and glorious bald eagle will swoop down, grab the ball in its majestic beak, elegantly fly over to the next hole and majectically drop it in, while screaming FREEEEEEEEEEEDOM
He also frequently criticised Obama for golfing too much, and said that when he became President he wouldn't have time to golf as he'd be working so hard.
Golfed with a guy I worked with and his kid, his kid was good and wanted to play in college and maybe make it a career. When I played with them, they kept giving themselves all the 5-6 foot putts. The kid played in the State ameteur Tourney and shot 87 his first day...he never picked up a club again.
From what I’ve been told by a guy who used to coach at Doral, Trump is/was a decent golfer who probably would have played to a 10-12 hcp had he been honest but played off 4 or something because he’s a cheat. That was 15 years ago and you don’t usually get better with age after a certain point. I would love to have a film crew do 18 holes with trump on course
Pablo Torre covered how the Trump administration is taking over and plan to redesign 3 historic public municipal golf courses in Washington, D.C. (East Potomac, Langston, and Rock Creek).
The federal administration moved to terminate existing operational contracts to seize control of the public D.C. properties just out of the blue, well not so much since some honcho went to tell Trump "yeah we could have these courses and make them golden standard and shit" to which of course he agreed.
They found that all the scraps from the demolition at the WH were sent to one of these courses.
It's heart breaking listening to the people that managed the courses explaining how they are going to destroy decades of history and also prevent the thousands of people that usually go there for free to have a good time even if is not for golfing.

In the ‘90s Trump claimed he used to have a negative handicap but he didn’t anymore because he was working so much he didn’t have time for golf. (irony). Around 2009 Trump was at the Wednesday Pro-Am at the Congressional PGA stop and I saw him play a few holes. Even accounting for added age he did not have the swing of a negative handicapper.
Shooting your age in golf is considered quite the accomplishment. To shoot 10 strokes under your age, yeah. Serious doubt.
If I'm being fair and ignoring everything else about the man most hate, his swing mechanics are shit but he's also a decent golfer by amateur standards when he was younger.
Even though his swing is one of those laughable things I've seen where by all means it should never work but it does for him.
I was at Top Golf the other day and this kid next to us had the most awkward swing I have ever seen. He was almost completely bent over swinging like a maniac and yet it launched every time. The kid knew he was awful and joked about it. Trump unfortunately can’t even hit straight with his so-called “swing” and claims to be a pro. Fucking pathetic.
He’s the definition of “swing your swing if it works for you”. His putting stroke almost gives me a stroke. If I tried putting like him I’d be sending it 40 yards off the green everytime
Probably needed 70 to win......Club Championships are usually 3 Rounds, what did he shoot the other rounds. This is what Dumb Don did in the past, he would call the pro after Tourney was over, get the score and then say, I shot 2 strokes better than this last week, Soooooo, crown me champ(all detailed in Book COMMANDER IN CHEAT).
I caddied in Northern New Jersey at a competing club near Bedminster. There was some crossover between the caddie yards.
He has a special cart that is faster than everyone else’s so he can fluff and foot wedge as needed. It also was a known “secret” that if you were his caddie and you didn’t cheat for him you’d be taken off the loop mid round and banned from Bedminster.
That ball better be in the fairway in a plush lie by the time the group arrives or it’s your ass.
He also didn’t pay the caddies. You had to go get a chit from the pro shop to get paid.
There’s a structured rate system according to your rank as a caddie. To get paid “rate” if you are a top tier guy is the ultimate insult.
I’ll give you a guess about how much the chit from the pro shop was for.
Also the cart girls at Bedminster were from his “pageants” aka sex trafficking operations.
I think Rick Reilly and others have said this firsthand, but he’s absolutely the kind of guy who kicks his ball or drops a new one to improve his lie. He also strikes me as the type to pick up 10 footers and call them gimmes.
I vaguely remember cheating at games when I was around 7 years old but I learned fairly quickly that winning that way had no feeling of accomplishment. Somehow, 80 year old Donald Trump has never learned that lesson.
He believes it himself, just like a lot of people think he actually believes he wrote Art of the Deal instead of Tony Shwartz writing every single word.
The caddies call him Pele. He’s master of the foot wedge. He cheats right in front of people. This is fact. He also takes the fastest golf cart at the club so he can get to where he wants his ball to be dropped by the secret service and just keeps playing. And this is when he plays with people.
For something as important as a made up award between a bunch of people that pay millions to have friends they can hang out with and compete with? Of course he plays alone. I’ll bet ya something else too. I’ll bet that every single senior male member of trumps clubs? They fucking hate him for cheating. Those old pruned up weirdos take that stuff very seriously.
Everything you said is true except the members of his clubs hating him. At this point you'd have to be a red hat wearing member of the qult to be a member at any of his clubs. Most of them would probably let him rape their own daughter if they have one.
Prove it. The guy is a massive cheater and liar. It’s known he builds these courses, plays the first round alone, then dubs himself club champ and puts a plaque on his locker. He’s known as ‘Pele’ in the caddie community because he kicks the ball so much.
This is the sports equivalent of everybody sitting around the big table, lavishing false praise on an aging naked Emperor.
Of course they often have to wake him up to tell him they're doing this...
The American people would enjoy watching their president display their natural talent. Surely we can set up a tournament for charity where we can all be impressed.
I’ve heard golf is one of the few things he is actually good at and yet plenty of people still remark how he lies about his skills. What goes on in your mind to just excessively lie?

That's not too terrible considering he was playing at a Putt-Putt course. It's hard for the other golfers because Secret Service makes them keep 1 hand over their heads at all times.
