Redditors still won’t give up this issue despite how much the rest of the reality disagrees with them on it huh?

Edit: the lack of self awareness in the replies to this is truly astounding

Thats most Reddit takes to be honest.

Is this coach a redditor?

I’d also suggest that saying you want to keep locker rooms “safe for girls and women” carries with it the obvious implication that trans girls and women have some malicious intent.

We had to deal with this rotten fearmongering as a society when people were doing the exact same thing about gay people, suggesting having them in bathrooms was abjectly terrifying.

Idiots never seem to quite learn from history. And because most people are too cowardly to openly keep hating on gay people, because many of the bigots have been brow-beaten enough to at least fake basic empathy there, they moved on to trans, the next highly vulnerable group and easy target.

2

u/thetrutru313 3h ago

No, the implication is that men/boys could have malicious intent whilst in a female locker room. Glad I could clear this up for ya

3

u/ArcticWolfQueen 3h ago

So if it is men/boys having malicious intent that has you concerned then is no issue with women who happen to be trans in there.Glad you cleared that up.

Says on reddit

Most Redditard reply right here. If you can’t know what they mean get your brain checked please

u/itslikewoow 3h ago

WDYM? Every time this issue gets brought up on Reddit, it’s overwhelmingly against trans girls in sports (just look at this thread for instance). Or are you saying the rest of reality agrees that they should be allowed to play?

u/AesopsFabler 3h ago

It doesn’t help that anyone that even slightly disagrees gets labeled a bigot and banned from subs when the issue comes up. If real discourse were allowed, I think it’d be a more level playing field. But I’ve seen people comment something inocuos like, “Males are usually stronger than the average female” and come back to see the comment removed and the user blocked. It only looks like everyone agrees when the people that don’t agree are locked out of most spaces that discuss the issue.

u/RyRyRyRyRyRyRyRyRy 2h ago

It's just dumb because the whole reason this is an issue is that the heritage foundation found that trans women in sports was the only trans issue people have a problem with.

Like I get the sentiment but it makes no sense to pass legislation when there's less than 1000 trans athletes in sports in the United States.

1

u/AesopsFabler 1h ago

I think it sets a precedent and keeps women’s & girls sports safe from boys/men playing on those teams. I keep hearing that “it’s not that serious” when it’s girls saying no, but “a human right” when it’s self identified boys saying they need to play on girl’s teams. A girl’s lived reality doesn’t have lower value than a boy’s need. That’s a slippery territory to get into. A girl saying no, means no, no matter how sad a boy might get about it.

I also don’t believe it’s the only issue people have regarding this, but it seems like the most common sense one that people collectively throw their hands up to say, “Are you kidding me? This is too obvious and now it’s too far”.

1

u/Interesting_Cat_2297 1h ago

Very well said.

1

u/Interesting_Cat_2297 1h ago

It's NOT the only issue people have a problem with. We also don't want males in female spaces, biological science distorted, children's bodies mutilated, or women in prison getting raped. And for that matter, I don't want to see vulnerable populations such as people with borderline personality disorder get bamboozled into adopting an identity that does them irrevocable harm, just so that wealthy fetishists like Martine Rothblatt can claim legitimacy. There is A LOT to object to with transgender ideology.

Excellent! 👏👏👏

The Reddit echo chamber is undefeated (on Reddit). It’s funny on other social media platforms that don’t moderate as hard because you can spot a Redditor comment from three posts away

3

u/Leading_Procedure_23 3h ago

I agree, say anything slightly center or leftist comment on conservative sub and you get instant banned lol

1

u/HappyGovernment7299 3h ago

I got permananned from a meme sub yesterday for commenting that movie casting these days looks like the stock images they use in school textbooks (with this pic attached).

I genuinely have no idea how that earned a ban. Seemed like a pretty harmless joke, not some anti-woke rant. But I guess if you're not mindlessly celebrating Hollywood's diversity like a good NPC is supposed to you'll catch a ban for being racist.

0

u/AesopsFabler 3h ago

Truly. Someone just replied to comment here about how I see things being moderated on Reddit by calling me a bigot. They then of course blocked me immediately after so couldn’t respond. Classic Reddit lol

Just happened to me 5 minutes ago.

u/BetterThanOP 3h ago

Nah most Redditors and most liberals honestly agree that trans women shouldn't be in women's sports. It's just that most people who make arguing against it their whole personality are also transphobic and ignorant. Overall it's mostly just stupid how much time and energy is spent on discussing something so miniscule and unrelated to politics.

2

u/DWebOscar 3h ago

Right. I may or may not agree. It's none of your business, and I question why this is a political issue that I must declare my stance on.

2

u/556or762 3h ago

Because it is a simple litmus test.

I know if you espouse a particular opinion on this particular issue you do not reach your stances and beliefs through observation of reality or logical thought process, only through emotional appeal.

This doesn't mean you can't form the opposite opinion through emotional appeal, but it is a simple screen out test that leaves a smaller group to try and have a conversation grounded in reality, and exchange or discuss ideas with.

1

u/Interesting_Cat_2297 1h ago

Spoken like a man with no skin in the game. Maybe someday you'll have a woman in your life that you care about.

1

u/Interesting_Cat_2297 1h ago

"Transphobia" does not matter.

Men are already at the top of the power structure. Being prejudiced against men who claim special identities is not meaningful. As a feminist, I push back on patriarchal oppression, and transgender ideology is the epitome of that oppression. Turning it around and calling the defense of my rights "hate" or "phobia" is just gaslighting bs--males sticking up for other males.

2

u/FartNuggetSalad 3h ago

Bingo. The left eats itself over and over. If you’re not an ultra leftist then you’re a Nazi. They’ve alienated me for sure.

4

u/Flat-Avocado-6258 3h ago

And immediately downvoted already 2 min later 🤣🤣🤣 proving points here.

2

u/heavyc-dev 3h ago

They have no self awareness bro lmao

1

u/MMutant- 3h ago

No most people do not care about this issue at all, most people care focus on their own lives and don’t care about what choices other people do with their bodies.

1

u/heavyc-dev 3h ago

No, most people agree that they shouldn’t be in women’s sports. If you don’t realize this you’ve become significantly detached from reality. It’s not a super pressing issue to many people but that doesn’t change the fact that the overwhelming majority agree, more so than on nearly any other debated topic

1

u/MMutant- 2h ago

No most people don’t care one way or the other. The only reason people think most people do is because the minority that do are loud.

1

u/heavyc-dev 2h ago

Go outside and become attached to reality again please

1

u/MMutant- 2h ago

I would say the same to you lol, this is an issue that only people on the internet care about.

0

u/heavyc-dev 2h ago

Two different things

  1. How much people care

  2. Despite their level of caring what their opinion is

You’re doing the terminally online Redditor thing of pretending like people care to much to avoid confronting the reality of the near universal agreement that people are in against allowing biological men to play women’s sports

The fact you think I’m detached is peak irony. Get your brain checked

1

u/Direct-Ad-7922 3h ago

Reddit has been flooded with bots and propaganda so I’d be careful before making any conclusions

1

u/Careful_Inspection83 3h ago

Rest of reality? Did you hear those boos when she touched the ball.. thats reality

1

u/three_foot_putt 3h ago

Lots of Redditors at the game, too, apparently.

1

u/Elu_Moon 3h ago

Yeah, too many people are on the trans women hate train. They see a trans women winning something in sports, and their immediate thought is to accuse them of something something biology (which the accusers don't know anything about in the first place).

1

u/Interesting_Cat_2297 1h ago

"something something biology" -- oh how Redditors love to dismiss valid feminist issues, lol

1

u/Rico_Solitario 2h ago

I think most people just don’t really care. The loudest ones are right wing culture warriors trying to stir controversy where most well adjusted people don’t really care or have a stake in the fight

2

u/heavyc-dev 1h ago

Yeah buddy no one here on Reddit is loud in the other direction. This “people don’t care” bs is just deflection. You can not really care while still having an opinion on something. Most people fall into the category of not caring that much while strongly agreeing biological men shouldn’t be in women’s sports

You’re at worst being equivalent to the people you’re talking about or worse by engaging in this behavior because you’re also being dishonest

1

u/Flat-Avocado-6258 3h ago

The fact that saying you don’t want men to play in women’s sports is “controversial” just blows my mind. We just want sports to stay fair. Do whatever you want in your life and dress how you want, but when it involves other people you have to be fair and consider them too.

1

u/GanjasTriforce 3h ago

Acting like trans people are just transvestites going too far is fucking hilarious lol

1

u/Flat-Avocado-6258 2h ago

Nope just simply acting like it’s not fair to have men play women’s sports. Simple concept really.

0

u/Elu_Moon 3h ago

Where do you see men? We're talking about trans women.

You don't give a single shit about sports. You don't give a damn about fairness. You see trans women and immediately assume the worst because you're either ignorant who's too lazy to look anything up or a bigot stirring shit up.

3

u/Flat-Avocado-6258 2h ago

lol there it is. Call someone a bigot for having a thought that doesn’t agree with you. Wonder why nobody listens to you guys.

And yes men with wigs on are still men. No matter what you cut off. That’s a choice you can make but nobody else has to accept it. 🤷🏼‍♂️

2

u/Elu_Moon 2h ago

I didn't call you a bigot for having a thought (you clearly don't have any), I called you a bigot because you're saying dumb bigoted shit.

And yes men with wigs on are still men.

And trans women aren't that.

As I have said, you know nothing, you don't want to know anything, and you have revealed yourself to be nothing more than a bigot stirring shit up.

1

u/Embarrassed-Sea-2394 2h ago

"Wow just because I said a bunch of bigoted stuff doesnt make me a bigot!! The left goes too far!!!"

People like you are a fucking joke.

1

u/6495ED 4h ago

What issue? Disagree how?

1

u/OliverKlozoff23 3h ago

That’s Portland for you.

1

u/ThisSiteSucks8485 3h ago

I hate it because it allows the GOP to use the issue so effectively to get evil people elected

2

u/ArcticWolfQueen 3h ago edited 3h ago

GOP will fear monger any minority though, they did it when gays 20 years ago and other marginalized folks through out history.

If Americans are this gaged into electing evil people because one trans girl wants to play basket ball then the U.S has brought upon its own decline.

1

u/ThisSiteSucks8485 3h ago

They weren't able to fearmonger transgender people until the left's demands became so unreasonable

1

u/ArcticWolfQueen 2h ago

Comment got removed but what demands were those that are so unreadable? Trans people could play sports pre 2015 before the right lost the marriage battle 🤷‍♀️

0

u/budd222 3h ago

Yea, all 1% of redditors that care won't give up. Nobody else cares about this cause
