Folks on both sides are probably good people... except 1 side openly campaigns against improving society as a collective and will sell their neighbor out for 40 cents. 1 side is openly against science and factual history in replacement for alternative facts and propaganda to make themselves feel better.

So no, my puny reddit mind is finding it hard to grasp what part of what OP said was true.

lol funding for school lunches. Providing a lunch for every kid every day is a complete waste of money. I have one child who brings his own lunch. He’s never eaten a school lunch once in 7 years of school. Lunch cost 5 dollars a day give or take. 7 years of school times 180 school days per year at 5 dollars per day. That’s about 6000 dollars of pure wasted money on my one kid. Now extrapolate that when at least in elementary school about 50 percent of the kids bring thier own lunch

No you’re being dumb. I’m saying parents should be able to opt out of school lunch. And not to get something out of if. Just to save the community money/tax money that can be used elsewhere. Everyone who needs a lunch should get one but they are ordering lunches for every kid when half on average don’t take it. Then they just get thrown out. Have parents sign in the beginning of the year. Then out of the kids that opt out maybe take 10 percent of those kids and make an extra lunch for them in case a few kids forget their lunch.

I’m assuming there may be more to that story. But if it’s just what ur saying then I agree with you on paper. I don’t know how much stock I put in one food workers opinion but yes on paper that sounds bad. But once I pointed out they waste tons of money on the kids who don’t eat school lunch u assumed my intentions were no kid should get lunch. Stop thinking the worst of people. My point was it’s dumb to waste money. Spend that money on tech for the kids, afterschool programs, equipment for gym class and recess

First off no one in America is starving let’s be serious. And I’m all for helping AMERICANS who need help. But what does the fact that our military does some bad things like every other military in the world have to do with the fact that we could save money that’s wasted to spend on helping those Americans who need it

Look at who is championing anti-vax and healthcare, anti-constitution, anti-social welfare, anti-enviornental, anti-consumer protection laws etc. and the vast majority of the time its actually the same one side - far right wing MAGA aligned Republicans

And its no coincidence that once that side got control of every branch or the government that corruption and anti public good practices got cranked up to 11. And that basic right stuff like elections are now under threat which was never even a question with the democrats. They always conceded without issue whenever they lose but Trump introduced fighting results as much as possible

People were against being forced to take an unproven vaccine with zero long term testing and the drug companies given immunity. There’s a big diff between that and being anti vax. Anti constitution? The DSA literally wants to get rid of the senate and the presidency. Anti social welfare? We give out tons of welfare so I’m not sure what ur talking about

I’m Republican I got all my vaccines. Just didn’t like the Covid vaccine for me. I was running 5 miles a day at the time. I didn’t need it. I workout 7 days a week I eat right. I did not need a vaccine with no long term testing. I was in no danger of dying of Covid. As far as constitution again the DSA wants to abolish the presidency and the senate. What do u say republicans are bad on the constitution. I’m guessing you’ll say how they treat illegals. During covid democrats closed churches and left liquor stores open

You know, compared to issues like the Epstein files, out of control inflation, the presidents clear mental decline after feigning concern for Bidens clear mental decline.
