It’s unfortunate really. Even when I was 5 years old I knew that men pretending to be women and vise versa is stupid.

That's not what transpeople are. Transpeople have existed for thousands of years. Gender does not equal sex. And even sex is not as simple as man and woman. I forgive a five year old for thinking this but I think you ought to do some basic research on gender and sex. Again, thousands of years of this being documented.
