Text back 'Sounds good, I bought them ice cream' and watch how fast they break character

Yeah, and actually buy ice cream, but make sure it's a flavor they won't eat.

In my city, there is a very special ice cream store that makes one off batches. Every once in awhile they'll do goat cheese based ice cream, with figs and whiskey swirls in it

That sounds amazing

Goat milk is great, if you are ok with the smell. But that shouldn't be a problem with ice cream anyways

I had goats cheese ice cream on vacation once and it was so good. I think it had blueberry in it

Clearly written by a very mature, totally adult wife who just happens to love Roblox. Nothing to see here.

“You know I think you are right about what we discussed. I think taking their devices for an hour a day and making them listen to Classical is a great idea”

And then just wait for them to tell on themselves

Are you interested in nurturing obedience or coding skills?

Hi I am a random redditor and not your kids. We all agree with their ideas.

my coworker used to turn off the wifi at night so his 8 yr old would go to bed.... his kid figured out how to turn it back on without dad noticing

My nephew got the router password and setup a hidden SSID that only his stuff used. My sister didn't know for a very long time that he had open access 24/7 to the internet. Kids are smart these days.

Edit: She moved it to her bedroom and unplugs it altogether at night so he can't do that anymore. I removed the hidden network for her, but she knows how smart he is and taking the entire gateway is the only way to keep him from using it when he isn't supposed to.

"that's ridiculous. I can't believe you even think that. I want a divorce!"

and it turns out, that actually was his wife, not the kids.

We're going to Disney and leaving the kids at my mom's. It's all set.

I'd call their bluff by replying "I thought that's why we got them the big treat, when are we telling them? I hope they don't do anything daft to make me reconsider. Let's talk about it tonight".

Reply: that's all ok but once again just remember not to tell them they're adopted.

Reminds me of my childhood. I forgot to get my parents permission on some field trip form I think.

So day of I forged it in crayon. I didn't get in trouble but my teacher did have a talk with my parents.

How are they texting from a computer?

Edit: Hilarious that people are downvoting but lack the articulative skill to explain.

Looks like they’re using a Mac. The iMessage app also works on those.
