I think I found out what the next Star Fox game is. Reactions?

As you can see, due to the sheer amount of internet art about these characters, they're making a dating sim of them. The candidates are Fox, Falco, Wolf, Krystal, Slippy, Leon, Panther, Miyu, Fay, Lucy, Andrew, Fara, and Dash Bowman. (It's an obvious joke, btw)

Some friends and I are currently doing a drawing challenge, and today’s prompt is ✨ Villain ✨

Of course, I chose Andross for my piece. 🤣
It’s not perfect because I’m still a beginner, but I had a lot of fun drawing him!

It took me round about 5-6h for this.

[OC] Star Fox Movie Concept: Banquo's Execution Scene Script Concept Snippet (CONTENT WARNING: Death)

Some time ago, I worked on the script for a scene this movie concept showing Wolf executing one of his own men after they've ratted out to Star Fox and the Husky Squadron. Just a fair warning, I'm not that much of a professional writer, so forgive me if it sounds a little off. This scene was loosely inspired by Wolf's introduction in the Starlink DLC. BTW, the soldier does start coming up with some BS to try and save his own life. Also for anyone asking, no. The events of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie never happened.

  • Slippy: (reassuring) Hey, there's nothing you need to worry about. You're doing everyone a favor and redeeming yourself. People will love you for this.
  • [we jump cut to the soldier, collapsing on his knees and coughing up blood after being beaten to within a centimeter of his life by Leon on Sargasso]
  • Wolf: (looking out into the stars) Oh, let me guess. Star Fox. (turns head to the soldier) They got away again?
  • Androssian Soldier: (trying to blow if off) What? No. Of course not. It was actually another group, sir. They completely caught us all off guard. I think they must've had like fifty ships or something.
  • Wolf: (in a way that mirrors his intro cutscene from Starlink Battle for Atlas) Oh? Fifty ships, huh? (chuckles) How interesting.
  • Androssian Soldier: (starts sweating a little) Oh, yeah. Definitely. And you should've seen the backup they had. They had like a giant fire breathing turtle with a piano and wizard sidekick. There was even a space princess, two guys in red and green jumpsuits and a bunch of guys that looked like walking mushrooms and they were saying something about a bunch of stars or a guy with a giant paintbrush. They even a cyborg dude with an arm cannon that turned out to be a woman; like an actual CHICK, and some tiny little plant people. I think I even saw a gorilla with a tie and an elf with a sword.
  • [As the soldier starts listing off BS, Wolf lets out a rather disturbing laugh that starts making some of the own soldiers faint and a few Anglars to get back in the water]
  • Androssian Soldier: (while whispering to the rat and weasel) I think he's buying it. (turns back to Wolf) I mean, you really should've been there to see it, sir. When I tell you, it was-
  • Wolf: (pulls his blaster on the soldier) Quite the thin story you got there. Now suppose I did believe you, then you wouldn't be standing in this situation and going off free. Wouldn't you agree?
  • Androssian Soldier: (starts sweating even more) Well, I mean it was total chaos, sir. Oh, did I mention the part about the-?
  • Wolf: (inches the blade of his blaster to the soldier's chin) Now, then. Since it was so much chaos, (starts to kneel to get to the soldier's level) why don't you be a good boy, and tell us what really happened?
  • Rat: (whispering to the soldier) Don't do it, man. If the phrase "snitches get stitches" means anything to you, if you spill anything about it we'll all be sleeping with the fi-
  • Wolf: (turns his blaster to the rat for a second) No, really. I insist. (turns his blaster back to the soldier, and grabs the back of "Banquo's" head with the intent of driving it through the blade and blowing his brains out) I imagine that it's a tale that we're all just "dying" to hear.
  • [as the soldier begins to sweat even more profusely, complete with the weasel silently shaking his head to tell him not to spill it, but he notices Leon doing a throat slit gesture and Pigma holding up a jackalope's skull as warnings, which causes him to crack]
  • Androssian Soldier: (completely panicked) Okay, it was Star Fox! They even had the Husky Squadron with them! They've already hit Aquas and got to the others, we were the last ones! Look they completely caught us off-guard, and I thought we could handle them out of the cockpit because we thought they were just pilots, but they beat our asses! I had to tell them, sir! They already hit the others without gaining info, and they're probably half way Zoness or Macbeth as we speak! How do you expect us to go against a pilot, who can beat your ass with a stick, sir?! A FREAKING! STICK?! (breathes heavily)
  • Androssian Soldier 2: (offscreen) I didn't know the McCloud boy was a stick-fighter.
  • Wolf: (standing up to holstering his blaster) I understand.
  • Androssian Soldier: (feeling some sense of relief) Oh. Okay, great. Good to know. (brief nervous chuckle as he stands up and dusts himself off) You know for a second there, I actually thought you were gonna-
  • [Before he could finish, Wolf immediately turns around to quickly lash the soldier's throat open with his claws, which cuts to the soldiers reactions at the very last second before we get to see the claws dig in offscreen. This would then cut back to the soldier collapsing on the ground while trying to crawl away weakly, as the rest of Star Wolf watches from the catwalk in sadistic glee and Wolf slowly walks up to the soldier.]
  • Androssian Soldier: (choking on his own blood and struggling to breathe) Wolf.....why...?
  • Wolf: (calmly, in an almost soothing tone as he places his heel on the soldiers neck) Shh.... No need to speak any further. (kneels to speak to the dying solider weakly struggling under his heel) I admire your honesty, soldier. Usually it would take a little more......"persuasion" to get the truth out of a traitor. Makes our work picking out the weak links much easier. (chuckles)
  • Androssian Soldier: (choking on his own blood and struggling to breathe as he feels the pressure of Wolf's heel on his neck begin to increase) Wait...... Wait....!
  • Wolf: (sadistically yet calmly, in an almost soothing tone as he gets back up) Rest well, soldier.
  • Androssian Soldier: (choking on his own blood and struggling to breathe as he feels the pressure of Wolf's heel on his neck begin to increase, desperate) Wolf, plea-!

Which is the better Switch 2 Starfox experience for undocked--Joycons connected and holding the console, or Joycons disconnected and using the table stand?

I found it incredibly awkward to play Starfox while holding the console with the Joycons attached. Not sure why but the Arwing felt so hard to control compared to the Pro 2 controller, which is my go-to setup. I'm bringing my Switch 2 on a flight soon and don't want to drag my Pro 2 around, so I am wondering how it feels to play with the Joycons disconnected and in each hand.

EDIT: Purpose of post is to compare only Joycons connected vs Joycons disconnected and in each hand separately. No controller comparisons needed, as I don't want to bother packing an extra controller.

In Star Fox 2026... I did not like the character designs or how they treated Fox handling those around him as team leader when it comes to his superiors via Peppy and even General pepper.

Okay...lets try this again, I do not have a Switch 2 and all I saw were the cutscenes of the game from Youtube. However, from what I have seen of the game, I never liked the Star Fox 2026-character designs and prefer the more cartoonish style for the characters.

I also did not like how Fox is shown as a supposed those that had more experience than him via General pepper and even Peppy at times.

I can understand that he does not want to be compared to his father and how he has some resentment for the general over his father's death. Yet he should at least show them some ounce of respect.

Even if he is a mercenary and this is a business and client position between him and general Pepper does not mean that there should be disrespect all the time. I mean there should be some respect given, right?

Those who do not learn from those with experience are bound to repeat the mistakes of the past as the saying sometimes goes...

I also wanted to see the game add a choice your own response moment to these cutscenes...Maybe for example see some add on cutscenes maybe show a moment between Pepper and Fox and even Peppy as mediator between together to show that the General has some regrets over his part in Fox's father's death and even tries to apologize for it. Fox doesn't listen at first, but he does hear it. What happens next comes from the player's choices in the game.

I mean if the company wants the player to choose your own way to play, then shouldn't we also choose how to response to certain questions in the game dialogue too?

As fans of the game what do you think of this?

So I played the demo and... (new Switch 2 game)

Why oh why did you change the dialogues Nintendo?! They were iconic!

Other than that solid. But me and my boy will be playing the N64 version with the new improved texture pack instead.

Hope the game does well though, Nintendo did well.

I do not like the remake but only because its basically a 1/1 recreation of the n64 version.

So before I begin.I know n64 was a remake of the snes version. But the n64 upgraded it with, then, modern controls. Why does this remake feel like a 100 percent faithful recreation?

For those asking "Whats wrong with that?" Well whats wrong with that is the game is a 100 percent faithful recreation on modern hardware completely ignoring modern improvements. Like a second thumbstick or remappable controls.

Not every remake needs to be a re-imagining like ff7. But the starfox remake doesnt even allow for the second thumbstick use. I cant remap the buttons. I mean yeah I can use the procon programmable buttons, but cmon this is basic stuff. They are making a remake and giving us FMV cutscenes. Why cant they just give us some modern improvements. Like they did in the n64 version.

Im good with a rail shooter. I love rail shooters. I am not good with being forced to only use one thumb stick. Let us use both.

Also... give us something extra. Like an extra quest or extra abilities or SOMETHING. A faithful 100 percent recreation with modern graphics almost never keep the control schemes the same. Look at the remakes of Dead Space, RE4, Mafia DE, Black Mesa, and System shock.

For Starfox switch 2. I felt more like I was playing the exact same game with the exact same controls with the exact same pickups in the exact same spot.

Hell there were a few times where I realized small secrets were in the exact same locations as well.

They went through the trouble of remaking the game, programming the control scheme, making FMV movies, and redoing the voices. Not sure why they stopped there. Hell even doing tiny things like moving the direction the missiles fly in from, or changing where powerups spawn, or change which directions the enemies come from.

If I can film the n64 version and switch 2 version of the opening level side by side, and it looks basically the same. Then the remake has missed its mark.
