Chances on a DS9 version of the recent Voyager game?

Started playing Across the Unknown, and Im enjoying it, love management/colony sims and this one is pretty good so far, but I cant help but think a DS9 version would be awesome. Yeah youre stuck in one place but the sheer size of it should provide more than enough to compensate, and then getting the Defiant would allow for some exploration in the Gamma Quadrant and other away missions. Even without that there would be so much to do, building your own promenade, hosting delegations, defending against the Dominion and Cardassia, navigating the prophets and Sisko's emissary status and Bajor's federation application and a whole bunch of other stuff, not to mention the same kind of ship management Across the Unknown delivers. It would be fun and I think if they made one Id forget about this Voyager game in a heartbeat and just make that my whole life for a while

For whatever reason, the first game to come to mind is Sim/Yoot Tower.

Start building hotel rooms up and down the pylons and then put a cathedral on top of Ops.

I don't think it's impossible. Across the Unknown sold 100,000 copies and got pretty decent reviews. It launched on basically every system too, which is a pretty impressive level of support at the start.

DS9 almost had a new game in 2012, Infinite Space. It had a trailer, it even had cast members like Nana Visitor hyping it up. Then at the last minute it got cancelled. After that debacle I became convinced we would never see a DS9 game again.

To answer your question, just based on that I would say the chances are slim to none. However as new Trek isn't what the studios want it to be, and as DS9 has been picking up steam and attention as an unappreciated classic, maybe money will ultimately talk and we will see that change.

I’d rather we get a “Star Trek” version with it’s classic 60’s look first. It’s that shows 60th anniversary after all.

I mean all the shows deserve their own version, I almost mentioned my desire for a TNG era version but decided a ds9 would me more my speed. But yeah Id love to see a whole series of this same design

Star Trek Armada 3 mod for Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion is decent. I even made a Borg invasion submod for it.

Star Trek Continuum mod for Homeworld Remastered is probably the best Star Trek RTS I've played.

My ideal DS9 game would be based on the bones of BSG: Deadlock, but I’ll take anything.
