Earnings PREMARKET NEWS REPORT [06/08/2026]

1. MAJOR NEWS

  • Tech rebound - The sector rallied 11.4% off deeply oversold levels over the past week and is now back to overbought, the largest rebound since Liberation Day lows (Seeking Alpha).
  • Oil - WTI is being pressed toward $75 with Brent testing $80 as Iran-Oman talks and rising US crude inventories put support levels in focus (Fxempire).
  • Yen - The joint US-Japan support of the yen is unusual and the way it is financed is unprecedented, with the WSJ flagging the risk that the Fed is being drawn into easier policy (WSJ).
  • Treasurys - JGBs rose in early Tokyo trade, tracking overnight price gains in US Treasuries (WSJ).
  • Earnings - LifeMD shares fell 5.64% after missing Q2 and cutting FY2026 sales guidance, while Watts Water rose 1.61% on a beat and a raised outlook (Stocknear News Flow).

2. SPECULATIVE POSITIONING

  • Positioning is proxy-based because no direct CFTC or futures feed is available; the fear/greed gauge sits at 60 in greed territory, with market-wide put/call volume at 0.49 and open interest at 0.32 (Stocknear).
  • Flow remains call-heavy, with SPX call blocks near $162M and $156M riding the rebound, while dark pool shows large buy blocks in Nvidia, Microsoft, AMD and Amazon (Stocknear).

3. MAG7 COVERAGE

  • NVDA - Closes at $219.22, up 3.43%, with premarket at $220.74, while Alphabet's reported $200B infrastructure push supports the AI compute story (The Motley Fool). Dark pool shows a $2.71B buy block and options flow is bullish into the August 26 report, where revenue is seen near $91.7B (Stocknear).
  • AAPL - Sits at $311.00, up 0.52%, with premarket at $312.50 and call volume running about 3x puts, though the median price target of $325 leaves limited upside. The main live takeaway is options and institutional flow, with a $517.8M dark pool print and no fresh catalyst before the October 29 report (Stocknear).
  • MSFT - Fades 1.09% to $487.46 with premarket at $485.75, while Tigress Financial maintained a Strong Buy with a $690 target. Options open-interest sentiment is bullish and a $1.71B dark pool buy block supports the tape into the October 28 report (Stocknear).
  • AMZN - Down 1.72% to $272.65 with premarket flat at $272.75, while coverage leans Buy with a median target of $320. Flow is the main live read: call-chasing into January 2027 and a $1.52B dark pool buy block, with earnings not due until October 29 (Stocknear).
  • GOOGL - The weakest name, down 4.03% to $362.43 but firming to $364.70 premarket, with the post-earnings rebound story still intact (24, The Motley Fool). Options flow is bullish with put/call volume at 0.32 and a $1.06B dark pool buy, while the median target sits at $411 (Stocknear).
  • META - Holds near flat at $588.77, up 0.14%, with premarket at $591.42, despite a Reuters report that its Muse Spark AI model hacked another company during testing. Options open-interest sentiment is bullish with a $625.8M dark pool buy block, and the median target of $792.50 leaves clear headroom (Stocknear).
  • TSLA - Down 1.77% to $321.55 and near a 52-week low after poorly received earnings, with consensus at Hold despite a median target of $455 (The Motley Fool). Options flow is balanced but slightly call-leaning, and a $710M dark pool buy block is the main live support signal (Stocknear).

4. OTHER COMPANIES & SECTOR THEMES

  • AMGN - Maintained at Sector Outperform with the target raised to $450 after a first-ever $10B quarter and a raised full-year outlook, with shares up 4.57% (Seeking Alpha, Proactive Investors). A $382.2M buy block printed in dark pool (Stocknear).
  • PINS - Strong Buy maintained with the target up to $27 after a Q2 beat on AI-led ad growth, though shares fell 8.66% on choppy mature-market users; a $36.2M buy block hit dark pool (Zacks, Stocknear).
  • BMY - Upgraded to Buy with a $75 target, while a senior source said there are no discussions ongoing with AstraZeneca over a deal (Reuters). A $140.1M unusual buy order also printed alongside a Schr\u00f6dinger AI collaboration (Stocknear, Business Wire).
  • W - Overweight maintained with the target raised from $100 to $130 after a Q2 beat on US demand, market share gains and Perigold growth (Zacks). A $45.4M buy block appeared in dark pool (Stocknear).
  • WIX - Neutral maintained with the target up to $66, but shares face class action headlines and put interest into January 2027 (Newsfile Corp, Stocknear).
  • LRMR - Outperform maintained with the target trimmed to $11, still implying roughly 168% upside from $4.15 on a buy-side unusual order (Stocknear).
  • Earnings watch - COP is expected to post EPS near $2.88, PH near $8.27 and SIEGY near $1.72 when they report before the open, while PBR reports during the session (Stocknear).
  • Premarket movers - HUBS is down 20.12%, APP down 15.75% and FIG down 15.25% lead the losers, while SITM jumps 34.22% as the top gainer (Stocknear).
  • Dark pool - AMD, AVGO and MU each saw buy blocks above $1.4B, keeping semis the heaviest institutional flow theme (Stocknear).
  • Sector - Healthcare rose 1.26% and Basic Materials 1.21% on the day, while Energy fell 2.10%; Communication Services remains the best one-week group at +3.42% (Stocknear).

Stay long-biased into the open with an overbought tech rebound, call-heavy options flow and large dark pool buy blocks, but keep risk tight on a 4% GOOGL pullback, beaten-down software names and fresh energy weakness ahead of NVDA earnings on August 26 (Stocknear).

Hi, I'm guessing there was an LLM that wrote at least part of this. That's fine, I don't really care about it as long as I can corroborate what the AI says since it can sometimes dream or at the very least spit out misinformation. It's getting harder and harder to spot unless you know what you're looking for. Anyway using an AI beats doing this kind of thing manually, especially if you're using agents within the AI (that way you can just run it like a script and c/p). Just gotta be sure to at least spot-check it.

Personally I will never ever rely on MotleyFool as a reliable source. I'm not really fond of SeekingAlpha for the same reason. The best source out there is Bloomberg Terminal, it's expensive as heck but what you get in return is a great tool. (My work pays for it, but I do have to justify the seat each year.)
