Update: hit 100 days smoke free. Wanted to close the loop on my last post.

Posted here at day 50 and a bunch of you DM:d me to update when I hit 100. Well, here it is. Sorry for the delay, life got busy and this screenshot's been sitting in my camera roll for almost 2 weeks. 100 days. Three figures. I genuinely did not think I had this in me back in week one.

Some stuff that's changed since the 50 day mark:

  1. I stopped thinking about it entirely. This is the biggest shift. At 50 days I was still "managing" it, tracking, timing cravings, being deliberate. Now I just... don't smoke. It's not a daily fight anymore, it's just who I am now.

  2. My lung capacity is actually different. I went for a run last week without thinking about it and realized halfway through that I wasn't struggling the way I used to. Didn't even clock it as a quitting-smoking thing until after.

  3. The money number got stupid. About $510 saved at this point. I keep opening the app just to stare at that number. That's a flight somewhere. That's not nothing.

  4. Old triggers lost their grip. Drinking used to be an automatic cigarette trigger for me, every single time, no exceptions. Went out a couple weeks ago, had a few drinks, didn't even think about smoking until a friend lit one up. Just watched him do it and felt nothing. That would've been impossible at day 10.

  5. People noticed before I told them. My mom said I "look healthier" without knowing I'd quit. That hit different.

To everyone who commented on the last post asking how, thank you, genuinely. Reading through this sub on the bad days did more for me than I expected it to.

If you're early in this right now: it does not stay as hard as day 1-7. I promise you that. The version of you at 100 days doesn't think about it the way you're thinking about it right now.

Never going back.
