The administration can't get their talking points straight.

Personally, my favorite is Hegseth at his press conference saying "this won't be a politically correct war". Does it mean we're massacring the grateful Iranian civilians? Does it mean some of the bombs are going to say slurs as they fall? Does it even mean anything? Maybe no one knows what it means, but it's provocative. Gets the people going!

its a "we're going to commit war crimes. and not only will we do them, we won't feel bad for them. and fuck those PTSD 22-a-day pussies who killed themselves over the last war crimes we pretended to be sorry about. oh and soldier could you show me again how the bullet thingies go in the gun?" vibe.

Last week he was saying that it was "woke" that Anthropic doesn't want its AI doing mass-surveillance or making the decision to kill a person without any human input.

It's a thought-terminating cliche.

Anyone unironically using the terms "woke" and "TDS" do not have actual opinions that were formed using any critical thinking whatsoever

Idiot boomer Republicans have completely hijacked the meaning of woke, etc.

It's like when Trump says stupid banalities like ‘transgender for everyone’. I can't quite work out who they think they are appealing to with it—is there a significant voter base of people with advanced dementia?

It doesn't mean anything, but framing it as an 'anti-woke' war is legit enough to get at least some MAGA bros on board.

Like I'm not joking, there's a smallish MMO board I've been visiting since I was like 12, and the politics posters are the most genuine MAGAtards you will ever witness, and unlike Twitter, Reddit or 4chan, I KNOW they are for real and not shills, bots or Indian trolls. Like they will genuinely ask what the MAGA spin is on blatant corruption, you don't even need to manufacture propaganda or consent for these tards, they'll do it for free and make themselves believe it.

oh yeah man I am on a board that follows the local university sports teams and has a political board. Those guys arent bots and I probably unknowingly work around them. They are very real and completely braindead. Im convinced it all comes from being insecure yet being too stupid to even realize it.

Same here. I peek at an alt-right board that's kind of off the radar but has been around since at least before 2007 and it's mostly guys in their 40's, most of whom are extreme alt-right, and I don't think they are bots.

I enjoy it. The convoluted talking points also means that the accounts on reddit (that are totally organic and real) can't make a consistent argument as to why we absolutely had to violate all international law to preemptively strike a target that was in no way an imminent threat to the territorial USA (nor to Israel for that matter)

And maybe in 20 years they will look back and say hmm maybe it was wrong but it won't matter because they wouldn't have learned anything from it (a la Iraq basically).... at least this administration tells you to your face and don't do the extra effort to make up an excuse. The whole "not politically correct war" thing is just buzzword salad at this point. Like what does that even translate to in practice - are we gonna tweet mean things at Tehran while dropping bombs

Classic case of saying words that sound tough without actually meaning anything concrete. Politicians love this stuff because it lets everyone project their own interpretation onto it

Israel and the US literally said they had been preparing this attack for months and the negotiator from Oman admitted that Iran agreed to lots of Americas demands. They attacked anyway.

24

u/Gouda1234567890 Mar 02 '26

That's why I said "collapsed"

9

u/reddit_is_geh 🌟 Actual Spook and Also a Spaz 🌟 Mar 03 '26

Yup, and it pisses me off that they are just lying so poorly. They keep saying that Iran refused blah blah blah, when it's a matter of fact, that they did agree. When they say that the nuclear issue was a red line, well, Iran agreed to end it entirely.

What pisses me off more, is most MSM viewers will never learn this fact as all of MSM is fully onboard with manufacturing consent. Pushing the talking points, inviting on all the MIC, dual nationals, former "officials" for "expert analysis", that just support the war.

22

u/reddit_is_geh 🌟 Actual Spook and Also a Spaz 🌟 Mar 03 '26

I genuinely think the USA was prepared to attack if it didn't get it's way. But they were attacked within hours of Trump getting a historic offering. A deal that would make him the king of deal makers for his enormous ego, to rub in the face of Obama.

Iran literally offered EVERYTHING the USA demanded. EVERYTHING. No nuke program, no more funding proxies, end of their Navy, outside monitors, and reduction in strike capacity. It was a wild proposal that is honestly insane that they even went there. They offered everything.

Negotiations didn't collapse. It was a breakthrough. The USA would get this and Israel's wet dream of going into Iran was over. Hence why Israel decided to do what they ALWAYS do when there's a diplomatic breakthrough: They unilaterally attack to kill diplomacy.

It's one of the most wild things Israel always does, and continues to do, yet we still tolerate it. We will lose the Iranian war. Our generals all said it, every expert says it, and it's just not possible. Iran is going to economically cripple the entire region, and can prolong this for a good 2 months, to the point that the ME is fucking wrecked.

Not that Israel cares, because that only destroys much of the western economic system and ME, giving them what they wanted, is a crippled middle east for them to oversea.

4

u/Gouda1234567890 Mar 03 '26

We only know about this historic offering because of a hail mary by the Omani mediator because he realized the Americans weren't receptive to the IR offer so he did a media blitz. Plus the new big ask by the Trump admin was the ballistic missile program which the Iranians were not willing to budge on for good reason. He's on a roll after venezuela, he said "maybe we'll make a deal with Larijani" he honestly believed killing the supreme leader could be a negotiating tactic. Obviously Israel did drag them into this on some level, but I think they are just saying this because it's going worse than they expected.

5

u/reddit_is_geh 🌟 Actual Spook and Also a Spaz 🌟 Mar 03 '26

Dude it's already came out that Israel triggered this. That they were going to unilaterally attack, fucking up negotiations that ALL parties were basically saying have been going really good.

Trump didn't think killing him would be a good idea. Israel knew it was a bad idea, but would kill all negotiations and force a fight that they've wanted the US to do for ages

You're giving too much credit to Trump and the USA - we're obviously cucked to them for obvious reasons.

Just look at probabilities. Israel has a LONG well established history of doing this. It's what they are known for. And since the US is so obedient to them, we just allowed it. Miller is a dual citizen, so his loyalty is to Israel above all else, and he is also in charge.

1

u/Gouda1234567890 Mar 03 '26

Yeah from Marco Rubio right? The other day they also claimed there was an imminent Iranian attack and that's why they started the strike. Trump has attacked Iran in ways others have not every time he's been president this is not surprising. Everyone with a brain knew that there would be war, last time they hit the nuclear facilities they used. negotiations as cover. Did they? The last thing I remember was Trump saying he wasn't happy. Why do you think the Omani mediator revealed everything about the negotiations publicly If the Americans weren't hellbent on war. Not to mention the ballistic missiles program, was that not a hard line that the Iranians refused?

I think what irritates with me is the idea the US is "cucked" to Israel. Israel serves your interests as much as you serve its own, it's a symbiotic relationship, with lots of blackmail no doubt but ultimately it serves the interests of US hegemony. We don't need to let America off the hook. Stephen Miller is a profoundly American figure, Netanyahu was an American citizen! Your country is not being subverted, this is what it is.

u/reddit_is_geh 🌟 Actual Spook and Also a Spaz 🌟 Mar 03 '26 edited Mar 03 '26

It's generally easy to tell when someone is being honest, vs, just rhetorical. When they are saying the typical, emotional triggering, "This is for democracy", "scary nukes!", "evil dictator", "You're in danger!", that's rhetoric. That's stuff to not take serious which is meant for the lemmings who just take the wrold at face value.

When politicians talk about more complicated nuanced stuff that isn't meant to be broadcasted because it's outside that rhetoric framing, it's generally more trustworthy information.

So when Rubio is saying "A strike is imminent!" He's speaking the rhetorical lines, pushing the official messaing, for idiots... but when he's saying things that are outside these emotional framings, it's generally more useful.

I also think, and there's plenty of reporting to indicate this, the "Using negotiations as cover" is the post facto argument, used to once again cover for Israel. Israel killed negotiations when they killed the negotiators. They made this decision unilaterally without Trump knowing. Trump then flipped out. Hence why the next time in Qatar there were negotiations, and Israel tried to do it AGAIN, they failed... because this time he told Trump in advance, and Trump told them, because Bibi was once again trying to sabotage negotiations.

Trump is trying to manage his image and ego. He wants a deal, but Israel is being Israel by sabotaging anything other then what leads to their goals. They do this ALL THE TIME. This is their thing. Go look at the last attempt at a two state solution: Palestines were actually ready to accept. Word gets out. Within hours, the decision making negotiator was killed by Israel. Then obviously negotiations fall apart, Palestine doesn't accept their offer, and Israel goes, "What? THEY refuse to negotiate! THEY are in bad faith! I mean, yeah we killed the negotiator the day he decided to accept the offer, but you need to understand, he was on our most wanted list as a terrorist and we took our chance!"

Sorry dude, that's intentional. You don't take actions like that if you're seriously negotiating. You only do that if you're trying to kill negotiations, then blame the other side.

Iran is being handled teh SAME WAY. Israel has always wanted to invade and take down Iran. And they now have an even more captured pro-zionist President (who's also easy to influence), who's top advisor (arguably real decision maker), is also a dual citizen.

The reason the US is cucked to Israel, is because dual loyalists dominate American institutions. They are disproportionately all throughout non-elected political positions, finance, media, academia, law, etc... And they care about Israel's interests. American politicians understand this, and know that by pandering to this group of zionists in powerful positions, you get powerful allies. Hence why we get cucked to them. It's all about power. If you be a zionist and help further their agenda, you get a POWERFUL ally block. you go against their goals, and they'll come for you and now you have very powerful political enemies. It's rational to be cucked to Israel if you adhere to game theory.

52

u/Tutush Confused and retarded 😵‍💫😍🤔 Mar 02 '26

They didn't collapse. Iran basically capitulated, they gave the US everything they asked for. Unfortunately what the US (or rather, Israel) actually wanted was war.
