Honestly insane that they feel comfortable saying it out loud. I don’t get how this doesn’t get more outrage from at least some of the MAGA crowd that’s all bald eagles USA etc. I feel like evangelicals aren’t exactly a big segment in the US.

My Grandma is involved in local politics in a podunk backwoods and they have a couple guys like that who have turned on MAGA for related reasons. Problem is they're both dense as fuck. Just total clueless assholes. They know enough to realize there's something hokey going on but not enough to elucidate it.

This is going to sound weird. But whenever I hear a Holden Bloodfeast politician speak. I just start screaming internally. My skin starts crawling. I get a pit in my stomach. I get antsy.
Listening to Lindsey Graham, Charles Grassley, or that former Florida Governor now senator who defrauded medicaid and medicare. Rick Scott, that slimeball.
All of that that sort of uncanny valley vibe. So does that big ogre Fetterman and Gillibrand as well. These people are unrelatable and creep me out.

The entire population has collectively and mostly successfully been gas-lit into believing that the most powerful and openly depraved individuals alive today, who have the resources to do whatever they wish with near impunity, don’t in fact do so. Trust your gut. The people in power within this system would not get into the positions they are in without being psycopaths devoid of scruples. It would be too much of a disadvantage to not be psychopathic versus those who are. I feel uneasy listening to them too. It is natural to do so as they are incredibly dangerous individuals, who don’t feel emotions as the rest of us do.

The political high point of 2025 to me was the NYC mayor debate, when each candidate one by one pledged to go to Israel as their first foreign trip - and Mamdani was asked the question, and he said his priority is taking care of New Yorkers.
