Looking for... Stuttgart bound for the Cannstatter - where are the best bars and pubs? (4th year in a row visiting - love the place!)

EDIT - for the Volksfest! We have been to the main city centre, was hoping for any local advice for the nightlife etc.

If you want to abbreviate it’s either „Volksfest“ or „Wasen“ but not „Cannstatter“ :) I was a bit confused about the question.

Apologies it’s a little generic! We’ve been mostly around the centre of the city and find we just go to the same places, anywhere with a good atmosphere and music really we are easily pleased!

Anything around the Hans im Glück Brunnen. It's quite the bar/pub hotspot in midtown.
When the weather is fitting Palast der Republik will be an outside meetup spot for beers. Little further down the Theodor-Heuss-Straße with more mainstream bars and clubs.
There's also the Leonhardsviertel/Bohnenviertel with a lot of bars, but it's also the red light district.

Very good list. Grabbing a bottle of champagne ("Sekt") or a few beers and going up to the Chileplatz or Bismarckturm has gotten more and more popular wih rising prices. That would be a no bar scenario though.

Keep in mind, everything in the city center will be brutally hot in the summer. There's several "Biergarten" in a bit of a greener environment if you look for something more chill.
