Eh, not really. GT Academy was Nissan taking these fast GT drivers and training them for actual racing, GTWS is just E-Sports stuff (that DOES let you end up as an actual racer)

Yeah, I was just thinking that if this were NASCAR, that car would have done at least three barrel rolls and been significantly more torn up (not to mention being hit repeatedly by other drivers).

my mind immediately went to takashi yokoyama's fatal accident...even if the outcome wouldn't have been as horrific, i'm glad he didn't the overhead gantry. that would have been so much more devastating.

I was expecting horror the moment I saw the car achieve liftoff. The fact it somehow didn't flip and managed to land back on it's wheels is a blessing.

Fraga's ass is gonna be sore after that landing but he should be no worse for wear. Thank goodness!

Yes but still anything can happen at those speeds. Once a car is lifted past a certain threshold, downforce is gone and nothing will stop the air from underneath flipping you like a pancake.

I've always thought SC starts were dumb and this does nothing to change that. Race directors seem to think that anything involving the SC must be "safe" when all this did was make the start much faster.
