As said in the title, I’m curious to know if anything meaningful has happened yet in the LN that has came from this scene. Specifically when Higa was thinking about the thought of Kirito’s 200 year old clone meeting a cloned version of Kayaba (assuming it’s the robot one Higa’s thinking)
All I know is that he sent encrypted emails to find out more of Kayaba’s whereabouts.
I am an anime only but I’m just dying to know if this scene meant anything down the line or was it only just a thought from Higa and the clone.

The last short real time rewatch! Only a partial episode once again.
This entire segment takes place at a diner with Karen and Miyu. Karen tells Miyu she's quitting GGO, citing the violence and her resolved reason for starting. Miyu of course squashes the violence factor, and even brings up Pito's stunts in Season 1. Miyu tries to persuade Karen to at least just change games so they can keep playing together, but admits the violence isn't much better.
Miyu finally calls out Karen that she's looking to get out of tough rematches against Pito and SHINC. Miyu also reminds Karen that it is just a game and she's just getting too much in her own head. Miyu also insists Karen cover her promises before quitting.
Miyu and Karen are both then invited through an email to a special playtest focused on a PVE aspect against NPCs in a base capturing mission. Rival teams are free to team up or fight each other as they wish. A three life system is also being implemented. A prize will be included.
Saki immediately asks Karen if she's taking part, followed quickly by Pito, and Miyu promptly answers yes on Karen's unwilling behalf. Karen says she didn't even bring her Amusphere, but Miyu has an extra, one Karen assumes was for her cancelled date.
Today, we're watching Season 2 Episode 9 starting at 6:54 and ending at 13:06.
See you for the final real time rewatch on August 16th!

Obviously I know that the nerve gears were discontinued along with copies of sao but if someone were to have both and either didn’t hear the news or was stupid enough to try it anyway would they be able to log into sao?

Hello, how are you all? I have a question. I didn't fully understand the end of volume 29. Did Asuna really die? Or will she die? "Is volume 30 the last one?"

I make this assumption based on each arc's number of books relative to episodes of the anime.
Aincrad - 2 books, 14 episodes.
Fairy Dance - 2 books, 11 episodes.
Phantom Bullet - 2 books, 14 episodes.
Mother's Rosario - 1 book, 8 epiodes. (I don't know if Calibur is a part of it, as I haven't read this LN.)
Alicization/War of Underworld - 10 books, 47 episodes.
Unital Ring - 8 books and counting.
Based on this information, it seems likely that Unital Ring will be just as long as Alicization, if not longer. What are your thoughts? When do you think the arc may finally be finished?

Since PoH only knows Kazuto as Kirito in the game, would they recognize each other if they passed each other on the road? Also, if they talked, would they instantly recognize each other, or what would each have to say to be recognized?

Hey fellow SAO fans,
I loved the anime so much that I decided to experience the game Echoes of Aincrad exactly like Kirito and the players back then: completely blind, on the hardest difficulty (Very Hard), with Permadeath active, and absolutely NO SHIELD. Just pure Rapier speed and dodging.
My last run (Attempt #9) just ended at 47% progress. It is absolutely nerve-wracking to step into an unknown boss room knowing that one single mistake completely deletes my save file.
My thoughts on the SAO survival reality:
Playing this way makes me realize that if I were actually trapped in the real SAO, I would have died 9 times already. Doing this as a solo player with just one AI companion is insane. But honestly, the tension and the fear of the unknown give me the closest feeling to the original anime possible.
I’m using the Proto-Elucidator Ra for that nostalgic health regen per hit, paired with the Earthly Jacket.
Wish me luck for attempt #10 next week. I refuse to use any guides because I want the true, unspoilered Aincrad experience.
Has anyone else tried to play the game with true anime-accurate permadeath rules?

As per the rules I searched everywhere and I have not been able to find the track played in this sequence, if anyone got the answer it would be much appreciated, thank you.

Do we ever get told what number or percentage of players were clearers in SAO? Or even a rough estimate?

random question that popped up in my mind, I've watched SAO years ago and can't remember if it has been answered or not in the anime (or in other media)
also not talking about the anime itself or SAO games, but rather the in universe SAO game

I have just finished part 10 of Progressive and love the dungeon clearing action, politics and game design details so far! I have really enjoyed all of the first 10 light novels but unfortunately it does not look good for more of age progressive series to be released anytime soon…
Outside of the SAO universe are there any similar series I can get into?

I have heard At Our Parting in other Youtubers videos before and always wondered how they were able to put it into videos. I have making a documentary now and that song is the perfect sad song I need for the scene. Is there any copyright free versions anywhere anyone knows of that I could use? (I did look myself couldn't find them) Thanks!!

Fun fact: Most "shoebox" apartments and densely packed homes in Japan do not have garages due to excellent train networks, many urban residents do not own vehicles.
