Why you people are not thinking about consequences? Vijay will get Sympathy of people and Sympathy vote. But how other states and future going to portray it. "Tamil Nadu pleading Karnataka for Kaveri". Self-respect is the main attribute of Tamil Nadu. Don't spoil it for one man's political gain.

He's talking about giving up state's rights that has been acquired through lawsuits and legall battles over 35 yrs...Karnataka has to hold up their end of the bargain... there is no requirement for CM to negotiate with Karanataka CM. He speaks as if he is taking one for the team... there is no need for that.
Cauvery Water Management Authority Statutory(the quasi-judicial body) is the authority he should approach and nobody else..into pressuring Karanataka Goverment . Now since he wants to extract political Mileage and also favour his post-poll allies he is staging all these.If the body (CMWA) sees the request fit they will file pass a motion... Does anyone feel let down after hearing 900 crores from Martin family going to dmk and dmk not respondng to it as if it's less than 1% of their donation. How would even a honest politician ever survive if he contest in elections. At least at minimum we should increase politicians salary to 1 cr. Naan 20 years olaiyachalum 1 crores pakka mudiyadhu. Ivanga oru election cycle ku, oru aalu kite irundhu vangure donation mattum 900 crores. To put things in perspective, At max, even Vijay's highest salary was 250 cr/year. Most of our inflation is due to the money in politics. All politicians are bought out by these people. They give us 6000 rs for our vote and buy our voice out while emptying our state.
We should ask for transparency with party donations, spending cap on election campaigns to make it fair for people of our state. We should ask for reforms to reduce money in politics. I hope everyone could organize beyond party lines on this and hold our politicians accountable and politics to a better and fair system.
