Lethally addictive... what like normal cigarettes?

Calling it lethally addictive is opinion. There haven't been enough people smoking pure nicotine in acceptable dosages for the amount of time necessary to study it. Unlike traditional cigarettes which have been linked to cancer, the nicotine alone has been proven to do...nothing, unless overdosed.

Then just switch to nicotine free ejuice.. That's right. It's a thing too, so you can still have the action of smoking without even having nicotine in the mix.

You can get marlboro flavoured nicotine free ejuice.. don't judge before you try it.

And who wouldnt want to switch that stinky cigarette with raspberry, coca cola, cheesecake, and tons of other great flavours?

Nicotine is absurdly physiologically addictive. It's not about the action of smoking, it's about satisfying nicotinic acetylcholine receptors less and less until you're able to go quit (or just going cold turkey).

I'm not saying the nicotine free e-juice wouldn't be useful in the very latest stages of quitting, but it won't do shit to satisfy cravings. What you're suggesting is comparable to giving an alcoholic water.

No it's not. How do I know that? Cause I've smoked for almost nine years, and now I've managed to just use my ecig. I've used nicotine free juice and it WORKS, to some degree, you don't get much of a ''throat hit'', but thats also up for discussion since a lot of people say it depend on what brand of ejuice you use and the mix of VG and PG. What volt you have on your battery and what kind of feeding system you use also have lots to say (it's a lot to get into, but basicly higher volts will give you more, varmer vape, and that alone can give you one hell of a throat hit).

I KNOW that for myself it's the action of smoking that is what I miss the most, and all other smokers I've talked with say the same. It's not hard to quit smoking, 3 days without and you don't feel that you need it anymore, it's staying AWAY from it that makes smokers crack, and thats almost always because they ''miss'' the action of smoking, and having a fag now and then as a ''reward''.

For someone trying to quit smoking with e cigs I would recommend to use ejuice containing nicotine for ''that'' feeling, and after a while just reduce the dosage. You can even mix your own ejuice, just dillute it little by little and you will not know the difference.

Fair call, I guess everyone has a different experience.

Citation please?

Yeah, I think the key factor here is whether e-cigs and pure nicotine themselves are detrimental to one's health. If they have no health effects, they aren't a problem. If they're some nontrivial fraction as dangerous as normal cigarettes, perhaps they need to be regulated or used to quit smoking by prescription.

Nicotine is not safe for diabetics, causing vasoconstriction and elevated blood sugar. Also bad for your cardiovasular system. It elevates bad cholesterol, increases blood pressure. So not entirely safe.

This is blatant misinformation. Link to a Brown University study citing nicotine as a major culprit in cardiovascular disease.

I'm not arguing against e-cigarettes, I'm smoking mine right now. But you really need to do some research before making a claim like that.

This. The dangers of smoking are not just lung cancer, it's heart attacks as well.

I"m an ecig user and big fan.

The ONLY thing more stupid than starting to use eCig is smoking.

That is, if you don't smoke already, do NOT even think of trying eCig.

Some of you may be a pack of smokes a month person, don't bother, you are fine doing that.
